The drop rate was so bad for this event for Val Abrael, it took me well over 500 tries to get her. That's more tries that you get for the entire length of the event! I'm glad I was playing for her on the first day, too, since recharge cost was still 25 kobans then. I had a little over 1,300 kobans, and I kept recharging until she dropped and I was just under 700. If I had waited, I may not have gotten her to drop at all. In 7 days, you only have 336 total boss fights without recharging. If you start with a full bar, you'd have 356...
The irony of all this was, after Val Abrael dropped, I tried to get Val Red Battler, and she dropped after only 5 fights... FML!
