How many times a weapon skill can be upgraded?

I don't even know how you increase the Weapon SKILL level (I can increase the standard Level and "star", but I have no idea for the SKILL), so if someone can help, thanks in advance.

You increase skill level by enhancing it with any weapon with the same skill. I don't know whether there is a limit, but there is a declining % chance for skill upgrades.

It is not with the same skill but just any weapon with a skill in general i.e. Fire's Assault can be leveled by using a R with Thunder's Assault. There are a certain number of pts a weapon needs for each level up. For SSRs to go from sk1 to sk2 at 100% success rate, you need 2 Rs. If this were exactly like Granblue's skill leveling system, I could tell you how many "pts" each level up requires but I fed a SSR weapon at sk2 a SR and it was only a 88% chance to skill. I was under the assumption that a R is worth 1 pt and a SR is worth 4 like in Granblue, but that isn't the case here.

In any case, max skill level I'm assuming is 10.

Important note to keep in mind:
1SR = 3.5R
1SR2, means using 1x SR with SL2 as fodder. Likewise, 1SR3 means using 1x SR with SL3 as fodder.
1SR2 is twice as effective as 1SR.
1SR3 is three times as effective as 1SR.
1SR4 is four times as effective as 1SR.
1SR4 is as efficient as it gets. 1SR5 starts to become inefficient. At higher level SSR SL, use combination of SR4/3/2/1 and R as fodders."

any seem fine but they say solomon and D'art are very low on being good. Just go with what would work best for your team. i myself am going for arthur.

And who says D'art is very low on being good? Solomon is the worst for sure but its obvious that you have no idea about D'art.

D'art has an Attack/Defense down debuff along with Snatch.

Someone in a thread here said they'd eventually be downgrading/removing Snatch, that'd probably do it.

Yes but the Atk/Def down skill is still extremely good. It's a great EX skill.
