Higher stats and extra HP (Defender L is 6+SL/2% HP, while Defender M is 3+SL/2% HP). Given the chance, however, most would drop pure Defenders for dual Assault/Defender weapons.

Medusa has a... passable SR assault hammer, I guess. But generally speaking, it's a pretty bad event.

Even if you used 10 Pride weapons, it wouldn't screw you over. I wouldn't recommend it if you run 2+ healers, but the bare minimum that you'd have is still 100% Assault. And that's plenty.

I run 2 Pride weapons in my Water grid as well, and honestly? I can't even even tell the difference between a full HP Hime and a 50% Hime. I mean, I know that the full HP one is 114% and half-HP one is 134%, but that's hardly a difference you'll notice in a single turn.

If it's swingy for you, then you're at a point where your grid is still low, no? I don't see how that'd be an issue for you. If your grid suddenly jumps from like 50% to 70% because of a boss AoE Overdrive, isn't that a huge bonus you should be happy about...?

Defender weapons give you a huge buffer, which is just outright amazing. I have 30% HP in my Thunder grid, and when combined with 20% HP Eidolon, it's just... well, outright amazing. Sadly, not something I can afford to do unless I have elemental advantage. But even when I need to run double elemental Eidolons, the 30% HP buffer does some amazing work.

That said, I'd advice against heavily investing in HP weapons. Dual-skill weapons are becoming more and more common, and will provide you with all HP you'll need, along with the essential damage output. So focus on dual-skills and Assaults(/Prides).

My water grid is 53% counting the two Pride. To me it seems a bit swingy, but possibly its just a delusion

... well, yeah. When you jump from 53% to say 73% at half HP, then that's... a 37% increase in Assault? Yeah, it should be swingy. But that shouldn't be a bad thing, it's just a huge, huge deal for you when it happens.

According to the JP wiki, pride doesn't stack... although there's an additional part behind that section that I don't understand the context of. Can Slashley confirm?

Where did you read this? The weapon skill page says that pride does stack.

If memory serves, when the first element was getting the second Pride weapon, players asked about it and DMM stated that "no, they don't stack"
The community tested, and they stacked.

I don't think anything has been changed about that at any point.

Well... the bottom part I interpreted as they don't stack, however accurate Google translate and my interpretation skills are.

Is it known if DMM intends to keep it that way?

As far as I can understand it, I believe that says "there is no confirmation of a cap/diminishing value of multiple pride effects"

Though, my Japanese isn't particularly good. I could be horrendously wrong about that.

Considering how it's been over a year on DMM, I'd say yes.

    That's correct.

Where did you read the part about players asking DMM? I checked the comments pages on all the pride weapons/events and didn't see anything.
