Technically it's not Assault, since offensive Relic weapons are Elemental atk. Whileas other other weapons - Assault - are Character Atk.

I can't recommend going for Arthur Relic weapons, since it's unlikely you'll ever use Arthur again after you unlock Hercules. Personally, I'd save the Regalias.

This, you are a newbie, your acquisition of regalias is slow, and you will need regalias for many things (soul weapons, hosting Hrags, FLB), so using them just to get a small edge isnt the right choice specially when you lack the resources.

I give reason why he should go Andromeda.
    1. Water can reach cap without hercules so using hercules isn't effective.
    2. Water can get ascension by using one Orihalcon so your andromeda can heal 2032 your nike will heal around 1100. Its very important to do GO with best endurance.
    3. If you use andromeda soul weapon Andromeda can heal 2832 with soul weapon skill. Healing is very important in GO for new players.
    4. If taking hercules it needs long time to get 25% weapon frame. You need 120 regalia while Andromeda healing don't matter with limit break. So you only need 40 regalia to have the effectiveness of the weapon.
    5. You have snow raphael no need to get more debuffer b frame you better of getting Joan but joan can't heal newbies don't have appropriate damage to use joan. So getting andromeda then getting joan is the best route.

I can play glass cannon build cuz I play long enough and have enough himes. Honestly glass cannon build need experience and decent damage. Something most new player don't have now. So better go balance build first using Andromeda then go glass cannon build and going hercules when you have proper grid and himes.

You shouldn't unlock Arthur tbh. Arthur is for non fragile team. You only have nike you won't survive with nike healing alone. The saving grace you have raphael damage cut for defense. So better buy with one orihalcon for more heal in nike and much stronger hp too. You know the weapon with cheapest prize in ori shop for water. The rest of orihalcon is up to you to get more offensive or defensive but honestly for GO is much better with more balanced team than offensive esp if you want to only using one element in my experience.

Wait, stop. This is not the right path, and I don't think you understand exactly how getting Souls is supposed to work (yet again, probably because nobody has explained it). First of all, you get Soul Points from fully clearing events and leveling up, but it's only 100 soul points per raid/union event and only 30 soul points per level, while the amount of rank points required to level increases. Therefore, your main source of soul points are ADVENTS, where you can farm up to 600 soul points per advent. You need to get all of them because you need to get all the souls. Why do you need all souls? You primarily want their extra skills and their mastery bonuses, to a lesser extent.

The reason we suggest to unlock souls in a certain order to obtain powerful extra skills that you will need for a variety of situations:
    • Shingen's Provisional Forest - Increases the burst damage all all allies by 200%
    • Mordred's Black Propaganda - Increases Max Charge Turn
    • D'Artagnan's Sniper Shot - B-frame 20% ATK & DEF Down
    • Vivian's Maiden's Prayer - Cleanses 1 debuff for all allies
    • Gawain's Ambush - A-frame 20% DEF Down
    • Cassiopeia's Chaos Magic - Removes 1 buff from an enemy

These are just some of the extra skills you can consider taking. Mordred is a good soul not just for her early-game debuffs, but because you can take Black Propaganda with you in the future no matter what element it is. Ryu-Oh does have some overlap, yes, but she is also famous for missing a lot, which can be fatal for a new player.

D'Art is particularly notable because she comes with Sniper Shot. Most elements don't have 20% B-frame debuffs. Again, it can be taken with you wherever you go.

And finally, SHINGEN. She has the best end-game EX skill, Provisional Forest, but the problem is that you CAN'T GRIND HER, you can only wait. The only (reasonable) source of Holy Soul Points are Union Events, and Union Events can give you a maximum of 200 HSP per event. The Shingen line therefore takes SIX Union Events to fully unlock. So all you can do is collect 100% of rewards per Union Event and wait (farm lilims if you are weak, do the low level experts/ultimate demons at the start of reset, etc. just get all the individual rewards). The only other source of HSP are from tower medals; except in edge case scenarios, you should never do this, because cost-to-return ratio is terrible, especially since it is eating into your next Holy Steel Argentum.

But let's say we just take into account your specific water team. You still shouldn't get Arthur, because where are you going to get the rest of your 50% defense down as a new player? You already have 35% DEF down in Ryu-Oh and Snow Raphael, taking up A+B-Frame. So where do you get the rest? The only frames left are {Water Resistance Down, C-Frame, Weapon/Summon Frame}. Excluding you getting an eidolon which can do it, this is why Hercules is good right now, because you can buy her Soul Weapon which, when she bursts, applies between 15-25% DEF down in the Weapon/Summon Frame. This is by far the biggest reason why people keep using Hercules, so get Hercules.

Finally, never get Axe Caledfwlch. It's terrible. Every Soul has two weapons, one which gives 30% Elemental Attack (the same thing most eidolons give you) and one which gives 30% Elemental HP at max skill level. Axe Caledfwlch is Arthur's HP weapon. It upgrades Avalon's Guidance to give 20% D-Frame ATK, but as an attack buff, this is character attack, the same kind your weapon skills give you, which means it tends to be worse than elemental attack pound-for-pound. So in terms of damage, it gives less character attack less often than the elemental attack you can get for running... anything else that has that.

And before anyone argues that you have less character attack now because you have Rudra and no weapon, it doesn't matter because Regalia is not cheap. For new players, it's especially hard to farm because they can't get MVP and have small AP pools for opening them. You will get a grid with a decent amount of character attack easily, so there is no point investing expensive Regalia now into a crap HP weapon. Two copies of Hercule's Axe will serve you much better.

Thanks for your advice So I still don't really understand what GO is. I clicked on it, and all I see is a lv 75 subjugation which I know there's no way of doing. I see mission rewards, but no missions to do?

Also note that the SR with debuff you mention isn't free, and you need some luck to get them, I used many raid hime ticket but still didn't get some raid SR.

Don't bother with the defender/ascension water hammer from ori shop. If you need an ascension weapon for water, get the assault (M)/ascension (S) hammer from Monoceros raid in early February.

Guild Order is for more developed players. You're months away from thinking about it.

Thank you for this I have a much better understanding of how souls work now, appreciate it!

No, unfortunately, Andromeda is a noob-trap and should never be considered before Hercules. Andromeda is only for people who know what they are doing with an endurance build/need to clear the corresponding GO mission. Refuting this point-by-point:

    1. Water CAN reach cap without Hercules, but if you can't hit it now, then it's a moot point. To my knowledge, he doesn't have Cthulu, the source of the remaining C-Frame Defense down. Vohu Manah. Therefore, he's stuck at 35% DEF down right now. Get Hercules. It's better for his future too.
    2. He doesn't know how to do Guild Order. If he doesn't improve quickly, he's going to take 8 weeks before he can buy the Orichalcon weapon.
    3. He's a new player, he shouldn't be investing in the very niche Andromeda Soul Weapon just for Guild Order when he likely already has trouble just getting Regalia.
    4. Hercules doesn't take a very long time. With 30% BG added from the axe and high combo rate up, Hercules tends to be able to solo burst at the start for new players who don't have fast teams.
    5. Joan should be unlocked in the appropriate chain of Soul unlocking.

In summary, don't get Andromeda before getting Hercules. The first thing new players need to do is do enough damage to comfortably meet damage checks. It's also more AAB friendly.
