Oh, to be complete, N accessories max out at 300-400 atk. It takes 1045 exp to hit lv 20 (their cap). You can hit that with 14 Ns of the same element in one go for 1400 gems. That's the dirt cheap budget option.

Personally, I think R accessories (500-600 atk) shouldn't be too hard to farm for mid-level players/lazy farmers. As far as I've seen, you can expect 2 silver chests/3 copper chests per run of layer 2. Coppers will drop Ns, silvers here drop mostly Rs (but I've gotten 1 SR to drop this way). It'll take some time to actually get enough matching R's to max out 1 R accessory cheaply. But it's an option to consider if you don't want to bother with the material costs to enter layer 3/4 and/or you're not strong enough for them.

For myself, I don't think that I'm strong enough to reliably farm layer 3, and I kinda don't actually care all that much yet. I'm thinking of opting for Rs for the time being; maybe eventually accrue enough accessory points to trade for the occasional SSR if I ever settle on an element.
Hell, it's possible that I can go for N's first, then switch to R's. N's are cheap enough as is.

Unless I'm missing it, I don't see how much exp each accessory is worth prior to actually confirming the enhancement. N is 10, but what about the others?

N's are actually worth 50 experience points each
R's are 100
SR's are 200
SSR's are 400
Matching elements multiply the exp by 1.5

Leveling the material would increase how much exp it gives, but it's not linear. There's a table on the wiki if you're curious.
The 50% bonus from matching element kicks in afterwards. So let's say you leveled up an R to lv 15. Lv 15 adds 40 exp, so now that accessory offers (100+40)=140 exp. Matching elements would multiply 140 by 1.5 to get 210.

There will also be rosaries, which are specifically meant to be exp fodder. The R rosary gives 150 and the SR rosary gives 300 exp. They're phantom/illusion element, so I assume no matching bonus for them.

N being worth 10 is actually for accessory points for the exchange; nothing to do with leveling.

I put together a calculator that fully simulates the accessory enhancement process (though it doesn't currently show accessory points gained). You can combine up to 4 different types of fodder per batch of 20.

when was Snow Raphael going to be in gacha?

Snow Raphael was originally added with the Typhon/Garuda reprint. Of course, we got that way too early. So, who knows? Hopefully she'll be added with the next gacha update since we're heading straight to the next raid event.

Also, Acala freaking needs that awakening.
