Is summer sun sol better for a fire team than amaretsu? I really like the cleanse that sol brings and feel her heal is more impactful when I need it. However the def down from ama is hard to beat...

summer sol is better for long battles against multiple enemies.. or w/e, like guild order for example... otherwise ama is better.. even if it's annoying her debuff only 1 enemy yet her dark version is all ..harhar...

Well since fire generally lacks debuffers currently, it depends on whether or not amat's debuffs are needed or not. It's true that you can build around replacing amat, with something like shingen+sniper (but then you still run into troubles of hitting 50%). Or for public battles when you don't need debuffs because you know others are covering those frames already. Or content that is resistant to debuffs, like wind rags, etc... For solo content, unless you have something built up to replace the debuffs from amat, you generally keep her to cover debuffs. Because your soul will usually want to run PF, at least on fire, since you have uriel as you say.

In the future, summer sol does get some really nice buffs though! One of them being that her 1st ability adds on a C frame def debuff! I believe fire doesn't have a single C frame curently... So yea, at that point, you can fit her much better into your teams. But until then, whether or not you use amat depends on whether or not you need the debuffs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
