Indeed, you can only max lv 1 SSR in a month with 2000 gem cost, you got enough 20 srs for all 6 elements in 1 month but those only enough to leveling 20 SRs of 1 element to level 29.
Or you can max level 1 SSR acc in a week with about 175,000 gem or 4 in a month with 700,000 (24,000 gem/day)
Also consider that if you only want to max level 4 SSR accs for example, if you do it with 20 SRs level 29 you have to do 3 AQ4 everyday(105 ap) for 4 months. If you spent 700,000 gem, you can save 3 months which is 9450 ap, you can get over 2 milions gem with that ap during gem quest.

My only 3 light SSR came from either light union raid or Acc points...

I seriously hope we get AQ5 soon so it can speed things up. Guaranteed SSR will be a godsend, especially when you get throwaways you don't want cause that's more exp you can use in that case. Not to mention it should feed more than 2 SR a run

I'm barely leveling accessories cause I'm not finding too many I want to keep at this point and the vast bulk is SR...

You can't get drops, if you can't complete the stages in the first place.
