Or you know, just wait till they fix it.

I don't see why you see the need to jump to conclusions with a single hit.

After doing some tests myself with both a 40% hecaton and a 40% yule each time they appeared as friend eidolons, the damage is averaging out to be the same, which is 22,806 against the Aurora caves boss on ultimate. I burnt out around 250 AP for this (125 for each eidolon since half AP cost) and recorded 3 hits a run each time.

Did this with no buffs and debuffs on both herc and the boss and it's checking out. Could still run it more but 15 hits a piece is going the same (quite a few hits popped up as 23,254 for both and nothing got higher, so I guess that's my variance cap like this?)

I can believe it's a typo. Yule Goat has character atk and not elemental. Still wanted to see flat proof before going further.

It's more of don't report it first if you only have a single sample from my point of view.

I dabble in the science industry so I would know, giving any sense of conclusion before you have duplicate results is heavily frowned upon.

i let people know that something might be up, but never said anything was confirmed until i got more info. had to go back and replace the pinned comment with the confirmed info when i found out.

whole point of the vid was for people to be aware that there was something off about that description. char atk vs. elem atk on your eidolons does play a big factor after all

Unless you are desperate for a paper in which case you put out whatever and just say additional experiments are needed. It's one of the big problems we face with the amount of useless papers being put out. Whether there are parallels to be drawn here I will leave to others to work out.

Honestly when it comes to my vids, I don't put out info unless it's either confirmed, or in the case of accessory enhancements... I'll clearly say "I'm not sure what the best method is".

Maybe it's my wording here, but between going what I experienced and actual facts that I do know from time to time, the OPPOSITE happens here where a lot of conflict happens (and sometimes I'm not the only one wrong but it's rare if anyone notices that).

Hell, there's times when some one can agree with me and still cause a conflict cause our thought process of getting to the same result is different.

But then again, if someone feels that there's something the slightest bit off (even myself), they will question it. Opinions are bound to clash after all.
