Events now throw double SSR wpns at you every week usually. Not to mention there are soul weapons and such. So SRs aren't as essential for beginners to have as fillers as they once were. It's still a starting point for building grids, but newcomers nowadays get access to more SSRs more quickly than we once did in the past.
