1) this question i will need someone else to answer properly ... the element on weapon does matter .. you want to fill it up with as many as the same element as your party is using (should have start making all 6 different party for each element) .... it will give the skill that the element match to ... I have a damage calculator (split into two tabs: one for assault & eidolon effects and the other for buffs/debuffs) and Snatch data in my toolbox. Just look at those.
