However I'm inclined to believe that's the reason as I always have it on and for it to just happen every now and then makes it even more unlikely. It would be understandable if it occurs every time but it doesn't. Well, next time it happens I'll just have to try turning it off and see.
That's bullshit. I don't have any adblocker and the same happened to me. Also I am using google chrome.
