Thread: The value of Grails and are they worth Demonic Cores

OK I think i may have figured out the value of the Grail from the Store earned with the Demonic Cores. On the Japanese wiki there is a guide on how to optimize the R and SR Grail as well as SR weapons. This goes into some math and I'm not great at explaining, but here goes. VERY IMPORTANT: This is Skill lvls and not weapon lvls, upgrading your weapon lvls has no effect on your skill lvls. If you get a R grail it's optimal to upgrade it to Skill lvl 3. Heres why: It takes 1 R weapon to upgrade this grail to lvl 2 and 1 R weapon to upgrade to lvl 3. As you can see from the Table below, it takes a certain amount of "points" to upgrade which the game changes to a percentage chance. So if you upgrade your Rare grails to lvl 3 it is worth 20 X Skill lvl so the grail is worth 60 points where as the grail and the 2 R weapons would only be worth 40 (Grail 20 + weapon x 2= 10 x 2).

If you upgrade one more time it's worth the same cost. 20 *4 = 80 vs 20 *3 +20 = 80 So adding the 1 more skill lvl means nothing. For SR Weapons the optimal lvl is 4 (140 points) For SR grails lvl 5 is optimal (250 points). Note that these are optimal for certain lvls, if you are trying to upgrade an SR weapon you will never need an optimized SR Grail. Check the Table below to see what points you need. Points are what you need at that lvl so for lvl 1 you need 5 points unfortunately there is nothing worth so little currently so you have to use a 10 point rare weapon. To go to lvl 3 from 2 you need 10 or 1 R weapon, lvl 4 from 3 15 or 2 R weapon and so on.

The idea that the grail from the store is worth it, eh it's up to whether you value the grails. The other big question i have is if the Demonic cores save over. If they are like other materials in events they would only work for that event. If they do carry over then they would be better saved. For me though i will not bet on them carrying over and i will spend them, maybe save some just to see.

So for multiple reasons that have been brought to my attention don't use demonic cores for grails. Above info still valuable for maxing the benefit of your grails.

Regarding the demonic cores, actually there is no need to take risks since the store is always open, unlike DMM version where it's closed when the next advent comes.

I'm gonna risk and hope they carry over to revival, wouldn't be surprise if they wipe our inventory though, we'll see with the upcoming revival. Will probably still be able to buy these ones even then in that case. Lol.

If they were SR Grails I would had exchange but Rs are nothing special because you can easily farm R weapons from gachapon. You might need double the amount but considering you can roll gem gacha an infnite amount of time now, til you run out of gems, it's far more convient.

That's true hadn't thought of that was thinking along the lines of the raid battles. Hopefully the stores will always stay open i love getting half-elixers for a long time after the even ends.

Uh, the demonic cores are used for awakening. Don't waste them on grails that can be easily obtained as standard event rewards.

Did they change it? Last time I tried it stopped letting me do 10x after 100k gems in a day.

Ok that's good to know. Next question do you know that they are one resource? Will they save over between Advent battles? Based on my thought process all the advent battle materials will save over and raid materials are reset (Jewlels and tickets). Is this correct?

90 Demonic cores > 30 Dragon eye shards > 3 Dragon eyes > 1 Awakened SSR

I understand this after you said this i looked it up. From what i understand to Awaken you need to MLB and max lvl the Kami then spend 3 dragon eyes. The question is if Demonic Cores are a single resource that save over from events. I've been looking and i can't find anything conclusive. So based on past experiences Advent items carry over, Raid items don't and are reset every raid. Is there a place where this is confirmed? Or do we just have to wait and see?
