Yes, what they said was odd. It sounds like more than just one. Gaia was the first awakening, I don't think they will awake others first. Next event is Thunder&Fire, so Gaia(wind) is counter and probably an another water ssr? The only awakened Water SSR is air, which is going to be released next. I guess "some kamihime" just refers to one kami. Gaia.

Notice the title: An Awakening is Coming. As in, one.

"Beginning after the maintenance is complete on October 16th, some Kamihime will be able to release their full potential and reach never before seen power levels!"
This is still consistent with one on October 16th, with more to come later.

Granted, this wasn't the clearest away to explain the mechanics of one awakening per month, but precision communication was never Nutaku's strongpoint.

I don't think it's likely that Nutaku will deviate from the DMM schedule by awakening kamihime at a faster rate, as that would cause them to eventually run out of awakenings. They're definitely not going to make new content (character art, character animations) just for us.

To be fair, "an awakening" in that sense doesn't necessarily mean singular. If it's talking in general then multiple Kamihime could fit within "an awakening" happening. Now I think they'd likely keep it at one to match the pace, but you never know. They could always open it up for two of three in the first month to create some hype and drive sales for the Draconic Eye Shard Gacha. Then after the first month or so they could slow it down to one a month and still wouldn't be in any danger of catching up.

Now I do think the most likely result is one at a time because Nutaku isn't that dedicated. The lack of clarity is probably just due to them not being great at clear writing.

What does the awakened gaia do? Because I have her and 4 eyes.

Funny, my last 3 ssrs have been all wind, so its probably my strongest team now

Finally awakened gaia and now she is level 45, though not sure which kami i should go for next as i no longer have a main team.

Our Gaia requires 5 SR 10 SSR books for 4* alone, whileas JP is 3+6 from 0-4*

Anyone got an idea when they seriously nerfed the required mat requirements?

My guess is that Nutaku is trying to make awakenings even more exclusive and just increased the LBing price

It's not Nutaku, this was the original set of costs on DMM.
DMM version updated material costs in its February 17 update.
