As for myself i've settled for good at dmm side too but, gameplay and stuff was always better at dmm anyway but not understanding the story is still a big impact, playing the events and watching scenes without understanding whats going on (lul). Tho aigis at least still has its petite who translates most stuff anyway but i couldnt find the same solution for kamihime.

I wanted to come back but after what happened (over and over for other games too) i just cant trust nutaku especially to its dmm games, you spend money and more importantly your precious time but all gone after a single news of a closure... Just want to know what nutaku kh people thinking about the matter and another important question i want to ask is...

Do you play the game with your heart's content?

Edit: This is not a rage/hate thread or something like that, i just want to see the general opinions of the currentsituation.
People give Nutaku way to much credit for the way Aigis turned out. The majority of the problem from the very start was the shitty DMM devs they assigned to work on the game. It had been waning in popularity way before DMM pulled support, and the root of the problem was how the community was treated by them. It was almost never on the front page.

Meanwhile Kamihime has what seems like a pretty good dev team and is constantly in the top 3 on the front page. I doubt it goes anywhere anytime soon unless something very unforeseen happens.

That being said, the nature of online games in general is to not last forever. Even AAA games all die eventually. If it makes you uncomfortable not knowing how long the content you pay for will be available to you then I wouldn't suggest spending money. For myself, I've gotten much more enjoyment and playtime out of this game than the vast majority of the other games I own so I definitely don't mind dropping money every now and again to support it.

Pretty sure aigis was frontpage everytime they had a new event. Heck , probably top 3

And gameplay wise , it was the best game nutaku had from what i've tested (played literally all non downloadable games that nutaku had). The story was pretty generic to be honest , and the affection scenes were bad compared with what we have on kamihime , but i personally wasn't playing the game for H content. I genuinly enjoy tower defenses.

I do enjoy kamihime as well , but i do prefer TDs over this final fantasy type of battles.

atleast both had the same protagonist, a walking cock without personality or any lines.
For Japanese it may be popular to have a mute protagonist to "project" yourself in the role, but from an european standpoint, i prefer to have a protagonist with a personality, a face and maybe one or two quirks.

Just Imagine Rance from the Rance series as a protagonist. Hell that would be just amazing. i would love the hell out of every interaction between the characters.

Not very sure that's a Japanese thing though. From a production standpoint however, it's just that much easier on your minds to think of interactions without having to give the protag any words, since you literally are relieved of a crap ton of character dynamics. It's probably how DMM manages to roll out 3-4 himes every week.

Sounds like people are content with the game so far (i read ya unregistered) i might give the game another go, lets see... This will be my 3rd coming back lul.

Also, you know i wouldnt be this confused if aigis was the only game that got closed. The reason why i included 'dmm' in the thread's name is it happened to many dmm games on nutaku, not just aigis and idk why no one mentioned them its like, kamihime, dp and bgr (why this one still alive lul) are the only ones that is remaining afaik. Clearly nutaku wont bring more dmm games in any time soon. At least they added some eastern games thats not hosted by dmm which was a good thing imo, which means we're not 'forced' play western games with their shit art-style.

Remember, always play - and/or spend money - on the journey, not the destination. If you're not having fun NOW, then you're just wasting your time and/or money. Same applies for all games, not just P2W Nutaku browser games.

Me? I'm enjoying the game way too much. When it one day shuts down, I'll be very sad. Partly because of losing all that I've spent so much time (and money...) building on, but mostly because I won't know what to do with my free time anymore. Pick up another MMO,
    I guess.

Japan hasn't gotten a storyline update for a year now? It's over. The storyline never really even progressed into the whole Ragnarok thing all that much.

DMM will keep milking Kamihime for as long as it is profitable, and then they'll just close it. It will never have an ending, sorry.

Seems like sarcasm gets through as good as ever on internet. I know that much, thanks.

Quite frankly, it depends.... I got hit THRICE by loss of investment time into games... which happen to be Kanpani Girls, Angelic Saga, and ESPECIALLY Sengoku Providence.....

Of course I'd feel bitter if KP did get axed as well (it's already headed down the SenPro path with the game getting buggy at times...) but there's not much you can do. I'm just gonna milk the game for what it's worth in the meantime (along with FKG, cause I'm LOVING how easy that game is to pick up)

I honestly feel like the point isn't "how much you spend" but more so, "how much you get out of the game and your money". I legit feel like my money was wasted entirely on Kanpani Girls (cause just when i started spending to help build up my team, it got a closure notice), it was barely wasted on Angelic Saga (cause I got a lot of out of that game to where i didn't need to add money), and Sengoku Providence was in-between (cause I did spend quite a bit on there and got a huge collection of girls... but a lot of my time and effort didn't feel like a waste overall).

Depends on how you see it really. But I do feel like they could have done more with Kanpani Girls (no updates for nearly a year... maybe longer), SenPro (same case as Kanpani to a smaller scale, cause the DMM one is still going WAY strong), and even Idol Wars could have gotten milked a bit more (but then again, it's practically a rehashed Dragon Providence).

But on a side note, I honestly feel like the following games could get cut soon:

Oswari Island- Only big spenders trying to get top 200+ is keeping this alive... packages for boosters are expensive and gacha for those same boosters can QUICKLY eat up your tickets and nutaku gold.... plus the DMM one died off first.... and i think the mobile one is dead too

Dragon Providence- This game honestly seems less and less active the more i look at it... personally, my guild on there died off over a year ago....

Pero Pero Seduction- seems more personal in my case, but this game has started drifting into pay-to-win territory.... want some of the event stuff, limited stuff, or even the top 1000? YOU. HAVE. TO. PAY. MONEY. don't even think about it otherwise... and it also takes a LONG time to get to the point of where you'll start getting really strong... if you're a free player, you're gonna have a hell of a time getting far in this... i honestly quit this game already due to this

but, that's just my thoughts about those 3...

Techcross Inc. surely wouldn't shutdown KamiPro (for DMM) without a good reason (meaning bankruptcy)~

You guys can just ignore this, probably?
Some JP investors are opening up the stage for anime/anime-related/manga/gaming industry for the world~ If we look at F/GO NA, we can say that it's a success. Even though KamiPro EN is in the minority trend (since it's a H-game), the game produces stable results due to it's active community.

Surely, you guys must have noticed the globalization of JP-related merchandise (anime, movies, etc.) and it's popularity, right?~

everyone thought the same about aigis , considering it was one of the more popular games on nutaku , and that didn't end well.

    I hope you;re right , but i wouldn't bet on that anyway.
