PAY. MONEY. don't even think about it otherwise... and it also takes a LONG time to get to the point of where you'll start getting really strong... if you're a free player, you're gonna have a hell of a time getting far in this... i honestly quit this game already due to this

Whoever this was predicted this really well... osawari and dragon pro got the axe...

A union member that plays FKG mentioned that they recently announced in the FKG discord that they're discontinuing any future updates to the game.

So yup, dead now I'd say.

KH is next.

It will be a shame when KHP gets the axe, as its one of highest-quality games hosted here on Nutaku.

However, I am rather certain it *will* happen, and it should be rather obvious given past (and recent) track record. "Just having fun" is all fine, but I wouldn't invest too much effort into it - just saying. Don't let "but this game is different!" cloud your judgement - I've seen so many of these on sister game forums already...

Effort is fine.

Remember, for ANYTHING online, be it MMOs or KH, you have to enjoy the JOURNEY. Because the ending will be always be hollow and sad. If you were looking forward to having fun in the future, well... then you were in the wrong from the start.

Journey should have meaningful length, and not to be cut prematurely with your investment abruptly taken from you.
And there are different possible grades of involvement in said journey - e.g. differing by amount of effort, time (and even money) spent.
Its different for you or me who's been here for years and already pretty much started to get bored already anyway, or for someone who just joined and grinding their teams & gear enthusiastically.

It differs by game - with KHP there are certain recent & very red flags which scream to me that placing a large bet on this "journey" (specifically on Nutaku) can only end in tears.

I agree. This is particularly sad for someone like me who only started a few months ago and just started getting strong and no longer complete deadweight in raids. I thought English KH is only like 2 years old and that it will last longer. I blown through my video games budget for like the next 5 years on this game, stupid rate up gacha is so addicting! Oh well, live and learn. Or live and relearn in my case, I avoided online games for years because of possible sudden closures and incessant server problems, but somehow found KH particularly addicting.

I can confirm that.
FKG cut staff to 1 Dev from 5 last year. Its zombified temporarily. No new events, fixes or updates.
No server closure date yet, but in that state cant be soon enough! For me its already closed.
I do play on DMM though and they have stated that there is an HTML conversion coming in July for Jap FKG.
With the new English stuff there, there is a chance they start an Eng FKG sometime.
