I'm talking about unreleased content (as per the topic). Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I just wanna drop in and point out something interesting: Mordred loses out to D'Art on burst dmg for newbies (assuming they rerolled for Sol and company) considering the only SSR light weapon out there that Mordred can wield before relic weapons is St Nicholas's sword.

People don't generally run Mordred to maximize Burst damage though. They run her for the free Black Propaganda, among other things. Though Light has less use for Mordred once the full complement of Relic weapons is available, she's still good if you want to auto something and you don't want Light Tsukuyomi's debuff to miss.

I've been thinking about it and something I've notice that we haven't really been accounting for are eidolons. You can honestly use any soul you want Provisional Forest with a end game light team. You just need one or more of the following eidolons: Takemikazuchi, Sleipnir or Jack o Lantern. There's a few more further down the line that will work too as well, a light eidolon from a collaboration event that gives +10 burst and another light one from the next xmas raid event that gives zeal (same as Jack).

    The cons:
-They require gacha eidolons or a raid event eidolon that have already passed or have yet to be released.
-It takes longer to set up in for some of them because of eidolon cooldowns, this being the biggest weakness compared to Shingen/Hercules build, reducing overall output and risky in general for some fights.
-None of them have -50% atk/def down even with eidolons, Hercules is the only one and Shingen if you're willing to drop Micheal.
-Also may reduce the effectiveness of the 100% light eidolon if using off element eidolons. (I'm not completely sure how they work but I believe the light 100% requires a full light eidolon grid for max effect?).

    Examples:
    -
Joan w/ PF, Micheal, Artemis, Tsukuyomi, Sol. At least 1 burst increase related eidolon.
This set up works quite nicely because Joan fills the missing a-frame atk down you lose from not having Raph or Eros and just having Joan in general provides a lot of defensive utilities, even more so depending on which weapon you choose. Micheal and the eidolon to fill the missing burst from PF within the 3 turns you have before it runs out.

Joan and Sol for -40% atk. Artemis and Tsukyomi for -35%. Additional -10% to both if factoring eidolons for 50/45 atk/def down.

    -
Mordred w/ PF, Micheal, Artemis, Tsukuyomi, Sol. At least 1 burst increase related eidolon.
Like Joan, Mordred doesn't have any ways to increase her burst gain so Micheal and a eidolon are required. But simply having Mordred here makes your life easier due all she provides.

Mordred and Sol for -30% atk. Mordred, Artemis and Tsukyomi for -45%. Additional -10% to both if factoring eidolons for 40/50 atk/def down.

    -
Morgan w/ PF, Artemis Tsukyomi, Sol, Eros/Raph. You don't need a eidolon for her build but you can still use one to hasten a second full burst.
Using her guaranteed Triple Attack buff on herself, she can fill the burst lost from PF in 2 turns on her own, meaning you can replace Micheal.

Sol and Eros for -40% atk (or 35% with Raph). Artemis and Tsukyomi for -35%. Additional -10% to both if factoring eidolons for 50/45 atk/def down.

    -
Arthur w/ PF, Artemis Tsukyomi, Sol, Eros/Raph.
Same as Morgan except you can do it in a single turn with her skill that completely fills the burst gauge after using PF.

    -
There's always the option of swapping out one of the defense down himes for a atk down if needed but since burst builds are generally about big numbers, I will opt for def down over atk downs.

Overall, many of the builds rely on Micheal but some of them don't actually need her to use Provisional Forest, she's there simply to speed things up, which is especially useful during burst hours. Hercules for example can get +50 burst within 2 turns on her own with her atk weapon that gives +30 burst and 2 regular attacks. Meaning you can can still get a full burst before PV runs out. Using Micheal, you can simply do it immediately.

Your ex skill is free on Shingen so you can still run SS.

Yep. and it seems like she always starts at 80% even MLB, meaning that you're loosing from 4% to 8% light atk for each non-light eidolon.
Edit : just to be precise , it only concern sub eidolons. You can still run Thunderbird or Behemoth as main/ support

No offense but i'm a bit skeptical about those build. I would agree with Arthur and Morgan, with Triya instead of Eros

Yea, seems I forgot Shingen's Ex skill slot, was too focused on Provisional Forest. So you can get 50 atk/def down on her too with the help of eidolons and without eidolons if you wanted to drop Micheal.

Just curious about this, but how much value is this light comp? Can also look at this for SR/R required missions/content, and for dark tower WAY later down the line.

-access to all souls, but only has herc weapon

-SSR kami are Sol, Tsukiyomi, SSR Artemis, Raphael, Michael, Vishnu, Atum, Frey, Shamash, Metatron

-SR kami are Artemis, Belobog, Uranus, Light Brynhildr, Baldr, Diana, Uzume, Demeter, Anteros, Djehuti, Attar, Sati

-R kami are Urania, Dike, Inanna, Orpheus, Light Nergal, Light Perun, Aurora, Daphne, Kamadeva, Light Caspiel, Aten, Dis

-Has a 1 star God Kaiser, but best eidolon for main effect is event ones

I'm making this ignore other weapons cause those are expendable (especially to future FLB ones). Just mentioning that one.

Just my 2cents as a DMM Light main since Halloween 2016.

Before I start, I'm gonna say that the current Light team while versatile is still not the best damage dealer element. At least not until both Freyr and SSArtemis are available. If you are to play light right now, you're not going to be expecting big numbers. OTOH, as soon as Sol gets her AW (expected around May), you can practically become immortal. If laughing off pain (literally) is not your thing, or if you really wanna see some big numbers, then I suggest you try playing a different element because that play style is gonna stick for a while. Otherwise, welcome to the most versatile element that can shrug off almost every and any troll mechanic/contents that DMM developers try to throw at you.

    High Priority Hime (right now):

Sol - The mascot loli that everyone loves (and hates). She primarily provides your team Cleanse, Dispel and Atk Down C debuff. And some heals if you need. Once she gets her AW, her Cleanse cleanses up to 2 debuff at once, the one and only hime being able to do so. Her debuff ability also gives party an additional buff that increases 50% healing cap. For a long while on DMM, whether you have Sol AW or not on your team while fighting DRag (Dark Rag Catastrophe raid) determines if you're playing Hard or Lunatic mode.

Light Tsukuyomi - Primary debuffer and Dark killer. Currently on Nutaku she is your only way to reach 50% Def down cap. Her Abi1 is a strong AoE blind that makes her very useful for surviving long fights. Her Abi3 does a handsome 6.5x multiplier nuke towards Dark enemy, plus a 15% Light Res Down not only works as a Def down, but also a mini VoF towards enemies of all element. If you want any dmg at all for Light, you will want Tsukuyomi on your team.

Eros - Buffer, and the closest hime Light team has for a defender. Ab1) 20% Atk Down A, Abi2) Affliction block + Abi Dmg up, and Abi3) 1200 Barrier + Def up M (exact % not known). Helps you block out annoying debuffs and partially mitigate huge damage that you will eat, hopefully not too often, which Sol can easily heal back. Also works great with Heracles with all the party buffs she has.

Diana - Light team's token (and overworked) SR, and the only hime source of (decent) Def down A that is 15%. For a slightly more offensive Light team, she's gonna be one of your top pick. At least until SSArtemis arrives much later.

    Other Notable Hime Mentions:

Shamash - Newest Light SSR on Nutaku. Taunt + Counter tank. Somewhat gimmicky to use but you'll learn to like her once you see her negating a hefty numbers of normal attacks from mobs and bosses. Gets some small but nice power-ups later with rebalance. See DMM PoV section below.

Mikael - Buffer + Burst Generator. Good SSR to have on your Light team especially if you run Shingen. But not good enough to have a permanent spot on the team just yet. She gets godly power-ups with her AW a year from now. See DMM PoV section below.

Metatron - Burst DPS. Nice Attacker. Also the best #1 Sub you can ever have to reconnect your Burst Chain should accidents happen on the front. DMM announced AW for her next month but no further detail is known at the moment.

Raphael - Stall Defender. Eating boss charge is her primary job. She also has a 15% Atk down A but that job kinda got stolen by Eros. Still gets the job done most of the time though. Also has a stronger than average charm. ...It's kinda easy to forget that she was originally a Light SSR.

Belobog - Regen Healer + Cleanser + 15% Atk down debuff SR. When you got nothing better, she gets the job done.

Uzume - Mini-Mikael. Party Atk up as well as 10 burst gain.

Anetros - Mini-Metatron minus Instant Bursting. Has similar stackable burst dmg buff.

Aurora - Sporting an Atk up L and a DATA up M, Aurora is a worthy R hime who does Buffing job better than an SR

Dike - 10% Atk Down A. When you don't have Diana...

    Hero choices (right now):

Mordred - Beginner's best friend. Can't go wrong with Mord if you want to play safe.

Andromeda - Another good option for defensive play, but can be a bit overkill if you already have Sol.

Arthur - When ye gotta go all out with offensive, nothing beats Arthur + PF (Provisional Forest, Shingen's burst dmg buff) at the moment.

Shingen - Recommended only if you have Mikael. Okay burst speed and consistent dmg.

Jeanne D'Arc - Not quite the usual choice for Light team. However since Light completely lacks Damage Cut against non-Dark element, she's one option for you in case you ever find the need to tank more damage than you can handle.

    Events and Gears:

Summons-wise, Light got the short end of the stick. For the basic four elements this doesn't matter at all because they can just use other elements' better summons. But Light (and Dark), due to the nature of their (future) 100% summons, namely Managarmr (and Anubis), requires a mono summon grid to work. Most of Light event summons are less than satisfactory. Either they got terrible stat or they got terrible active. But hey that's a Light main's life for a while, gotta use what you have. For main slot you're gonna be stuck with Nicholas for a while until you're lucky enough to roll a few copies of Thunderbird / Hecatonchires / Archangel. Or you can just use Barong (awful attack stat). For subs... well, try to maintain a mono-light grid to take advantage of any random Managarmr you run into. Otherwise just improvise.

Weapon-wise, you can actually look forward to a few upcoming ones. You already have Nicholas's Sword and Sphinx Hammer. Upcoming Barong raid gives you a nice Atk L gun. And if (hopefully) Walkure Romanze Collabo arrives on time, you can get an Atk M / Hp S spear.

    ===============================
    DMM PoV / Future contents:
    ===============================

Light's offensive started to get a little better with SSArtemis's release, our long overdue 20% Def down A debuffer plus a 8-hit nuker to boot. Once you manage to complete the trinity: Tsukuyomi, SSArty & Sol, you can just add a wildcard for the last slot and play with pretty much any build you want for any fight. Still, at this point Light still falls somewhat short behind other elements in the damage department due to relatively low damage cap as well as slow burst cycles (5T or more). For instance, my max SL + 6FLB + max99 Light grid only did around the same damage as my event Dark grid against neutral fights at the time. However, with the recent Awakening of Mikael as well as the newest additions / changes to the Light roster on DMM. Light Team can finally start doing some serious and fast damage. At long last.

    Light Roster:

    SSR

Atum - When you feel like you need insurance for your hero, Atum brings you Auto Rez Buff. Other sweet utilities like single ally -CD and single heal + barrier. Be aware that her Auto Rez is a buff and can be dispelled by enemies.

Freyr - The first rage punisher to be introduced into the game. Has a 15 burst gain dmg skill, a 30% crit buff and her titular rage punisher buff that lasts for 1 full turn. The punisher buff suffers from long CD, but it gets the job done when it counts.

SSArtemis - Light's iconic tsundere. Now with 50% more dere. 3rd of the Light Team's trinity. Sports a 8-hit nuke, 20% Def down A and a self Light dmg + Abi dmg + crit buff. Abi1 nuke suffers from low dmg cap (65k/hit = 520k total), but that's okay. Her Abi2 debuff nuke makes up for it with a 3~3.5x dmg multiplier, and only 6T CD for all her skills.

Light Nike - Slowpoke. But a very powerful slowpoke. Stacking charms/tokens is her gimmick. By stacking and consuming her charms, she grants a stackable party 20% Atk up (up to 6 stacks), and if your battle lasts longer than 11 turns, your enemy is in for two back to back FB in the face... if the enemy can even survive the first that is. SWEET...! Except that she's Limited. Don't feel to bad if you don't get her though. There will be better alternatives for dmg dealing coming up.

Tishtrya - One of the newest challenger who threatens Tsukuyomi's position on Light Team. Tishtrya is your pocket Titania for Light, who can also cast 15% Atk/Def down B + VoF. While she doesn't directly add 30 burst gauge on ally like Titania, her TA buff is as strong as the latter, on top of her also very strong offensive buffs. If one of your ally is in a pinch, she can even heal her right back to full (in exchange for some of her own hp). Works well with any hero comp, but notable mention goes to Morgan because of Tishtrya's TA buff.

Mikael AW - Major power up. Now grants party DA buff, burst dmg buff AND burst dmg cap increase on top of her existing buffs. Also gives party an additional 20 burst upon burst, dramatically reducing the turns of your team's FB cycle.

Takeminakata - Newest Light SSR addition. Token based abilities. Her greatest unique trait is that her burst comes with an additional echo burst of fixed dmg based on the number of blade stacks she has. Each stack = +250k dmg, ignoring all forms of buffs and defense, and caps at 5 stacks. Abi1 is a very high dmg nuke that can activate twice with stacks. Abi2 is a self heal, plus a 2-time 100% dmg cut with stacks. Abi3 is guaranteed TA for 3T, plus guaranteed crit with stacks. Obviously, her seemingly broken power comes with a price. If she runs out of blade stacks, she deals 40% less dmg and takes mearly double dmg. If used right, however, shes a DPS machine.

Shamash (Rebalanced) - Small upgrades but very nice upgrades. Now does more dmg with counter (dmg cap increased to 250k, up from 150k), draws more aggro, and no longer exposes herself to aggro for 2 additional turns while her counter buff isn't active. Her burst now performs a high rate charge down on target as well.

Vishnu (Rebalanced) - Powerful but very gimmicky... and tedious attacker. Her burst puts a stackable 5% Def down on the target. Abi1 buffs her atk and DATA rate while Abi2 buffs her crit and burst dmg. Both buffs are stackable every-single-turn. Can be stacked up to 5 times which gives her up to +150% assault and guaranteed DATA. No hard numbers on her Abi2 buffs but enough to let her hit burst cap very easily. Here's the catch: Any dmg she takes will dispel ALL her buffs. This is where her Abi3 comes in, a 2T invincibility buff. Time her Abi3 properly and you can easily stack up 4~5 stacks by the time you burst with her. Just this month she received a rebalance. Whether it is a buff or nerf is up for debate. Personally I see it as a buff. She retains her... tedious buffing every-single-turn gimmick, with a few improvements: Taking dmg no longer dispels all buffs on her. Only the ones from her own skills. Taking 0 dmg with barrier or 100% dmg cut now also counts as a successful dodge to avoid losing her buffs. Even though they removed her stackable 5% Def down debuff on burst and gave her a 2k barrier instead, she can now further fortify herself to make use of her buff stacks. ...Just be mindful when you use Yule Goat's active zeal buff.

    SR

Diana - Lost her Def down A debuffer job to SSArty. Doesn't make her any less relevant though. Still the one and only 15% A frame Def down for Light team when SSArty is not an option for you.

Demeter - Exclusive SR for buying the KamiHime LN on DMM. IF (This is a big IF) she ever gets released on Nutaku, she has a 1k Party Heal, a 2~3x dmg single nuke and a 10% Def Down A. Quite handy for an SR. IF she ever gets released.

Djehuti - Powerful buffer, a -CD skill and a 5% party hp passive (Think Bastet). Secures herself a firm spot in sub.

Forseti - BP, albeit one with very long CD. Still a viable option when you need BP but don't wanna use Mord or BP as EX for whatever reason.

Attar - Event SR from Yam raid. Has 4-hit nuke + Party Def up S, Party Heal (up to 1500) + Cleanse and a Cover. More cleanser never hurts.

Sati - 6x nuke vs Dark + 10% Light Res Down, self invincibility + 20% Light dmg up and guaranteed Crit buff for 5T. Passive also lets her have a natural chance to crit with out any buffs. Has long CD, but deals a crap ton of dmg while it lasts.

Mithra - GEM! GEM! Passive +5% GEM! 'Nuff said.

    R

Aten - An R rarity Stun Punisher... who also does SR tier burst naturally (at the price of self Atk down for next 3 turns). Has a very strong self Atk up + DATA up, which means, even if you can't time her stun punisher buff with her burst, you can still use the DATA buff to do some major dmg to the boss. Interestingly, her stun punisher buff also supports this strategy by having 400% multiplier for normal attacks while burst only gets 300%.

Light Caspiel - Caspiel! The broken R Wind cutie does a 180 degree turn and returns with an even more broken kit: Stackable Def down!

Kuvera - Quality defender with performance that rivals SSR. Target ally 2T invincibility, and an estimated Party 40% Def up (at cost of 15% of her hp), which translates to roughly 28% dmg reduction.

Daphne - Special mention to Daphne because of Kuvera. While Daphne is a very strong attacker even by R standards, combining her taunt with Kuvera's 2T invincibility skill can produce some very interesting results.

    Hero choices

Axe Heracles - 25% Def down (Weapon/Summon frame) on burst, Self 30 Burst on use of Abi3, on top of being a DATA machine + nigh unkillable while her buffs are active. The 30 burst gain also makes her a viable candidate for using PF as EX. Heracles makes a strong offensive hero for any Light Team builds, be it offensive or defensive. My personal default Light Team hero.

Spear Shingen - Fast bursting, makes what would normally be a slow bursting Light team more consistent before Mike AW's advent.

Staff Morgan - Her token TA buff + Mike AW DA buff + Tishtrya TA buff, plus Managarmr support if at all possible. Berserk away.

Arthur - Still plenty viable. Heck, if you want, you can even let her equip Herc's Axe for the 25% debuff on burst.

Andromeda - ...Quite honestly though don't you think Light healing is a bit overkill already?

Jeanne - Light still lacks flat dmg cut vs non-Dark element. Use her if you need.

Mordred - If none of the above works for you or if your grid is not quite up for the content yet, she's always there for you.

    Weapon skills

Atk/Assault - As much as possible. You can never have enough of this.
Hp - My recommendation is to aim for 12~14k In-Battle HP (Very achievable with event gears) for an endgame Light team.
Exceed (Burst dmg + cap up)- You will get one on the new Axe from the 2nd Light Union Raid Revival.
Ascension (Healing up)- 2x SL30 will be more than enough (Sol AW can heal for almost 4k with that).
Barrage (TA up)- When Hp and Exceed are satisfied, and if you ever have it, feel free to stack 1 or 2 Barrage to combo it with acc/hime/summon buffs.

That's all I can think of right now. Feel free to ask questions.

    Thx for your long feedback!

    I'm just wondering :

Tishtrya - One of the newest challenger who threatens Tsukuyomi's position on Light Team.
Did you mean Artemis? Tsuku is more or less your only option to reach the def cap, outside of Hercule.

    Staff Morgan
Can you confirm that Morgan's assist skill (fata morgana) will be patched to work with the heroic staff? I'm pretty sure i've read it somewhere but i can't find it anymore.

Takeminakata If used right, however, shes a DPS machine
Sweet! If couldn't find much about her. I was wondering if she was viable at high lvl. Good to know
