Welp, got to psych myself up for the endeavour that is getting an extra bow to drop, all for the sake of that 2x FLB phoenix bow dream. At least my half-elixir supply is ready for it.
No no, I need the drop to complete the first bow; it's only at 2*.
Same applies to my Apocalypse lance, Garuda hammer, and Typhon lance. Phoenix/Apoc reprint was so damn early it was still running with the original exchange rates (and was before I could reliably farm ult). Garuda/Typhon reprint happened while I was busy being a tourist in Japan so I couldn't max those weapons then.
This damn stack of 1800 half-elixirs ought to produce at least one of the drops I'm looking for.
Actually, considering the cost of the 2nd advent weapon, I'd be hard pressed to consider not going for the weapon...
Granted I haven't actually done the calculations, but my gut feeling tells me the SSR weapon isn't worth the HEs, not even for skill ups.
Yikes, hope you get lucky.
How in the ever loving hell did you get 1.8k HEs tho?
I actually would argue depending on how your grid looks. Sure, it is a defender but atleast a ++. Also, 24% more healing power is not so bad (nearly 400 more heal for Andro and even more so in combination with AW Sol, not to mention her heal).
In addition, it compliments the heavy Assault focused Bow with 21% now at FLB (sure, I know 15% Defender aswell, but hear me out here). So, in my case with 4 dual Assault/Defender (St. Nic 2x, Spiral Lance, Abu Ru Haul) and NOT having Sol for example, the amount of HP I gain for secrificing 5% Assault is quite some value. Also, I like using Andro for example in DRag or other more surviving oriented content (GO), it gets more and more value while still having 100%+ Assault and 30% Elemental from Relic.
So....yea, if you have the room and can still replace SR in your grid, I think the weapon is worth it to have more sustain and longlivity. The total Phoenix package is 21% Assault, 31% Defender and 24% Ascension (Bow FLB SL 30 and Axe SL 20).
Edit: Oh, and the stats of the Axe are also not so shabby to ignore aswell.

The concept isn't about it being worth or not. With FLBs around if you see a fod, you take it. No questions asked. (That is, if you are actively SLing your grids to keep it up to date).
You will have enough ascensions from the UE staff if you wanna go with heal memes. But switching out a weapon with assault skill for that 2nd weapon of Phoenix, you're sacrificing 10/13/16% assault, depending on the skill size, not 5%. And light has more than enough access to high hp, no need to go out of your way to equip another defender without assault effect.

The half-elixirs naturally accumulate over time if you have the schedule to allow for using as much natural regen as possible, thus allowing as many events as possible to add to your supply. So fundamentally, it's the trade-off of my real life time for this supply ever since launch.
I want to say that I had about 300 something HE's a year ago, so I think that I've gained 1400+ since then. That would line up with events becoming more generous with the loot as well as the anniversary update to the gem gacha.
Regarding gemcha, I typically pull 50-60 times each raid, union, and off day. I don't pull during advents. The reason being that I pull using the gems from the guerilla quests, as I'm normally available for the evening period (I'm in GMT -5). So I set aside 100 AP to do 4 expert runs, then use either 2 or 3 half-elixirs for another 4 or 6 runs, depending on how many I pulled earlier that day and how I'm doing time-wise. Usually it's 2 HEs for 8 runs that day. Over the long term, I see gain in my HE supply. But since my gemcha pulling is relatively quite reserved, my weapon grids are actually underdeveloped for someone playing as long as I have.
