The issue is that without element advantage, your ability to land a debuff suffers. I don't know by how much, but this is noticeable. And Ryu-oh already has a reputation of below average accuracy with her debuffs (I don't have her so I can't speak from experience). Using her off-element is probably not advised.

    This.

    Notice two things:
    1. The Axe - like all Soul weapons - gains the Burst effect at 1 Star and upgrades at 3 Star. That means you need 60 Regalia to reach -50% Def with Herc, and 120 Regalia to overcap. However, overcapping isn't a bad thing - debuffs do get resisted, after all.
    2. Herc being faster than the rest of your team isn't necessarily a bad thing either. Herc can be so fast that you solo Burst with Herc and still make it for a Full Burst! I often do this myself in AQ5 on teams that are low on debuffs.

Overall, Dartagnan is just so damn weak when compared to Herc (and this is before we talk about how bad defensive Soul weapons are compared to offensive ones). Only run Dartagnan if you absolutely, ABSOLUTELY have to, such as Thunder teams that don't have access to SSR Baal/Mammon.

As somebody who has run Ryu-Oh for ages, can confirm. For A type debuffs, she's piss poor. C type debuffs seem to have a univerally low hitrate just because they're AoE, I guess. Anyway.

For Ryu-Oh to hit 100%, she needs:
    1. 6% Affliction from Accessories
    2. Elemental advantage
Most A typers only need one of the above. In addition, Ryu-Oh's BP also needs VoF as a third requirement for 100%, which means it really has an awful hitrate.

On a side note, I used to run Ryu-Oh in my Fire just because I literally had no fourth decent Fire Hime. It worked out alright, but running four decent Fire Hime is certainly better.

My Lights are my main team right now, and I just unlocked Shingen after the Tower Nero event. I remember a long time ago (I don't post here often) that she was recommended for me and I'm wondering if a) that's still the case, and b) what my battle flow should be like.
    My team right now is:

Mordred (thought about Herc but I really like Black Propaganda + Sniper Shot, and now I have Shingen to try)
    Tsukuyomi 80
    Michael Awakened 80
    Sol Awakened 80
    Eros 80
    ---------
    Frey 70
    Atum 70

If Shingen is the way to go, I assume I should work on getting her lance weapon? And what's the best way to use her? With Mordred I've just been dropping the debuffs and going ham on attacks, saving my bursts until the enemy goes into rage and buffing up with Michael before I launch it. But Shingen looks quite a bit different, so I'm wondering precisely when to use her skills and how often I should actually be bursting. I'm a bit scared of dropping BP and SS, so I need some convincing.

And while I'm at it, I feel a bit iffy about Frey and Atum in the back. I also have Santa Satan as the last of my light SSRs, but I don't think she's that great. Are there any SRs or even Rs I should consider running instead?

Trying to build my water team for next UE

    SSR:
    Ryu-Oh
    Aphrodite
    Neptune

    SR:
    Belphegor
    Atalanta
    Phoibe
    Pruflas
    Oceanus
    Noden
    Nike
    Kikurihime
    (and some not worth mentioning....)

    My thought was Herc?
RyuOh has cover a lot of debuff so i think going Joan is quite some waste

    Decision please?

As long as you bring Ryu-Oh and Atalanta, anyone can work for you (with Sniper Shot). It is difficult to say how strong you are overall, so the answer is probably Shingen/Herc/Joan. Leftmost being for the strongest (perfect Water Glaive Grids with Shingen and Aphrodite are really strong) and the rightmost being for the weakest (Joan's damage cut can be invaluable to weaker players who struggle to survive Overdrives).

Thanks for the idea, but i wanna laze a bit (AABing) sometimes so going herc is pretty okay right?
I don't think Shingen would be fine by that

Although I'm okay to solo farm regalia for both soul weapons

After farming Garuda for the past few days and finally unlocking D'art, I have just two options in front of me: Mordred or Hercules?

Currently sitting on 280SP and cleared the event shop of all the SP, so I will have to wait a while for the next event and even longer to get the soul that I don't choose, so I want to make the right decision.

So for starters, my light team has 41k total power and are, in the following order, Diana, Sati, Michael, and Vishnu. Andromeda with Sniper Shot is my soul (yes, I know, I should've picked someone else to start with). Hercules would jump me straight to an endgame soul and perhaps increase my damage significantly with her axe (saved up 30 regalia), but Mordred provides useful stalling with her BP. I can choose either Asmund or Achilles as T2 soul, so which path should I follow?

    Thanks in advance!
