Questions re: weapon skills - what to level?

New player here. So I'm completely out of room in the weapon storage department and a lot of the clutter is from event and raid SR weapons that I was told to hold in reserve. Don't suppose anybody would be able to help with identifying what weapons in my existing loadout are eligible candidates for skill levelups? I understand that assault is king but am uncertain what other deciding factors there are (if any).

Here's my existing loadout. Please bear in mind that some of the weapons already have been skill leveled somewhat. This happened when I first started out a few weeks ago and hadn't the faintest idear what I was doing. Also, my element focus is lightning.

Questions re: weapon skills - what to level?-untitled.png

Not sure how helpful the picture is so here's a list - thunder weapons only - as well:
    Dazzling Gold Carbine +1 (SSR)-(LB0) - Skill level 5
    Lightning Drum Hammer +1 (SSR)-(LB0) - Skill level 5
Charles' Thunder Blaster (SSR)-(LB0) - Skill level 1
    Side-by-Side +4 (SR)-(Fully LB) - Skill level 4
    Side-by-Side (SR)-(LB1) - Skill level 4
Lightning Strike Axe +2 (SR)-(Fully LB) - Skill level 4
Lightning Strike Axe (SR)-(Fully LB) - Skill level 4

Also, not sure if it's relevant by here's my current team:
    Raiko - 3/4 stars
    Mammon - 3/4 stars
    Gryla - 2/4 stars
Baal (story quest version) - 2/4 stars
Off team --- Pluto, Meretseger - 0/4 stars for both

    Cheers lads

When it's SR rarity, then Assault is king. That's all you want from SRs. SSRs you need to look for Assault plus a good 2nd skill, like Defender, Exceed, Pride, Barrage.

So any SR that you can't level break easily after an event should probably be used as Fodder for skill ups. That additional Side by Side (LB1) should probably be used to skill up something else. You can use a full grid of MLBed Lightning Strike Axes instead which will give you stats and can stay around for a long time. I'd try and spend as much level up fodder as you can on items you have. If you got the Dark Hammer and Axe level them up as high as you can (or the Assault SR).

I'd also open up the storage (for weapons) with some jewels. Around 200 is fairly nice and you'll have the jewels. Opening up the Eidolon grid is kinda wasteful as you only truly need your top 6 Eidolons (or 11 if you have one of the 100% Eidolons for a full color grid). Everything past that can be sold. I'd definitely sell the Rs you got from this event.

In general, I'd say that this is the order you want to level up in:
    1. Dual skill SRs* (we have very few good ones yet)
    2. Dual skill SSRs
    3. Relic weapons
    4. Single skill SRs*
    5. Single skill SSRs

    * This only applies until you can get a full Grid in a reasonable timeframe. For example, in the next two months we'll have one Thunder event which gets you two Assault SSRs. So only keep leveling SRs that'll stay in your Grid even after this event. If you look further, there's two more Thunder SSRs in late March.

Note that this only applies to Assault weapons. There's no point in leveling up a Defender/Exceed SR for example.

The reason why I recommend SRs first is because each skill level gets you the same amount of gain. And each skill level is literally twice cheaper in SRs than SSRs.

There's two things that needs to be said about this:
Hime only gain skill level power-ups from weapons that match their element. So those two Light Axes and that one Fire Hammer only give stats to Thunder Hime. That's fine for a new player, but eventually you'll want to replace those with stuff on-element.

Secondly, you have a Relic weapon (Charles' Thunder Blaster) in your Grid. Those weapons ONLY work in the main-slot and ONLY for the specified Soul. In other words, at the moment it does nothing for you. It needs to be equipped by Dartagnan, or it'll be considered off-element again.
