Probably won't see +element paired with +burst gauge, no. I don't think that they've shaken up the stat pairings yet.
Most of the future event eidolons are, at minimum, stat sticks for the gacha scaling eidolons even if you don't like their passive. Python's the weakest at 1290, second weakest is Abou at 1770, then third weakest is... Stolas at 1860, which gets raised to a viable 2,046 for wind teams. I personally wouldn't be so casual about foddering the upcoming stuff. Except maybe Python. Python's hard to defend.
