There's always my tactic of getting 1 single megathread and never having to worry about starting a new one ever again.

While I think that's a good option for Tower and GO (since the content is similar-ish and reliable-ish at intervals), I'm not sure if I want that for other events. It's nice being able to look back at a specific thread, rather than go through dozens or later hundreds of threads.
