I botched a serious, manual attempt with my Thunder team. Only 54m damage. I guess more on Sunday, since I can have 2-3 tries on that day.

It wasn't ALL my fault as a certain something made me drop debuffs, which made me shit my pants and I missed my PF as well.

Also, lessons were learned from this, Raiko+Shingen is pretty damn fast. Should've kept EI up for the first Full Burst for PF. Now I was like "Turn4, I don't want to delay my Full Burst by 1-2 turns by waiting for PF, do I?"

Char Atk is good when stacking all that Elem+, so yeah. Sadly, RNG gods have not blessed me with a Giri.


In other news, "rewards squish" is here. It looks like the only thing which has changed is that ranks 501-1000 went from 13k Medals to 10k Medals. So this effectively only hurts the weakest 50% of the Nutaku population. Nice, Nutaku, nice. Exactly the people you need to hurt.

For veterans, reaching top500 should be no problem even with AAB, and that's where the sweet 13k Medals still is.

Just for info, I did 10.5k damage on an alt and gave up. Currently rank 6298.

I mean, I guess there are more than 1000 players, but there is only about 1000 players who are TRYING to get stronger. From the previous Union event:

highscore pp 3585212, rank 808

Since that is a bit above the minimum effort of personal PP (500k), we can assume that there is 100-200 more people who got the exact 3.0m. Maybe.

For people past ranks 1000 (not completing personal PP requirements), we can safely assume they don't really give a shit about Guild Comp events either, I think?
That might be a false assumption though, since the last SSR is at 1m personal PP. We don't have data on that, I believe.

Side note, outside of idols is the only way to get elemental atk through buffs/debuffs?

Idols? ... do you mean Eidolons?
Yes, offensive Soul weapon = 30% Elem Atk, elemental advantage = 45% Elem Atk. And buffs, most notably Kaisers (30% at 0-Star, 40% at 1-Star and a whopping 50% at 3-Star).

So, I manualed a run with all but my Light team (because what's the point), and here's what I got:
24.8m Water -> 39.2m
28m Wind -> 45.8m
21m Fire -> 51m
29m Dark -> 38m
46m Thunder -> 63.7m

Not perfect, but I'll take it. Mistakes that happened mostly include horrible Eidolon ordering (using Mii AFTER damage abilities, gj!)
and missing one Lock-On from Tyr, that cost me ~1.5m damage. But there's too many Nikes around to keep trying, so yeah, I'll take it.

Currently sitting on rank50 for Best and rank72 for Total. My awful, awful Light score (15m) is seriously hurting my Total, but what can you do.

A couple of notes here:
In theory, THEORY, if I had Kirin I'd be ranking ~13 in Best. Because 63.7 * 1.25 = 79.6m. In reality though, I'm not the only person who is lacking dem P2W Eidolons, so competition would be tougher. Also, many abilities are hitting their caps already as are Tyr's bursts, so the ~25% boosted damage doesn't work in reality. It's pretty rough to tell how much more damage Kirin would actually be.

Dark manualing didn't boost the score much. I can think of two reasons: on AAB, Shingen is awful (and was used in other elements) while manualing Herc doesn't do much. Also, with no Tiara set bonuses just yet, Dark is soooooooo goddamn slooooooow. This meant that fast units waiting around for slower ones for Full Burst cost a lot of potential DPS. Outside of Thunder, Dark is the only element I did multiple runs with since I was doing like 33m runs manually. That wasn't much of a boost from the 29m AAB, so I dumped Cherno for Osiris and got my 38m run. I wish I could run Cherno WITH Osiris though, since Cherno is goddamn amazing damage per turn against Light. But what can you do, there was too much waiting around without Osiris speeding the team up.
