I've got a FLB Herc Axe. It's a small improvement on Dart for overall damage, but it's 4 turns for that first 30% debuff and I've got no affliction resist down to help the Eidolon 12.5% land on turn 7 - SR eidolon burst effects don't stick frequently. Running Herc with Sniper Shot gives similar results for me to Herc with PF. I've not got a FLB Shingen bow in Thunder yet, I'm hoping that will give me a better result, possibly with Sniper Shot again on the bonus rather than the new Shingen-only bonus ability boost. I've also got a long way to go on Ragnarok Raids before I can unlock my first 5 accessory Thunder character.

If you've done the math and know exactly what you're doing, sure, go ahead, but I would caution against burning eyes just to get a phantom grid running full of LB0 weapons. Also consider using MLB SR instead of LB0 SSR, they're often better - burn orbs to LB ones that are good, at least orbs are easier to farm back.
The aim is to get two lb3 or one lb3 and an mlb; lvl 125 on the Orichalcum thunder Glaive (treasure sword Crusos I think) using just Orichalcum, and lvl 150 on the Eye-mat-shop thunder Glaive using Tower for weapon breaks; I've got 17k unspent as I've got no suitable target weapons since last tower. The slow point here is going to be eyes, even if I don't awaken anybody else it'll take months (on 5 eyes now). The only droppable Thunder glaive is I think Karin's summon, which is pretty long odds, so without resorting to one SR in my grid or a seriously lucky draw of Karin or a 2nd Phantom Glaive weapon, this is my only real hope. This leaves 3 slots, which will be one fbl Thunder gun of Gluttony, one flb Gluttony lance, and my flb Ukko axe (eye-mat-shop weapon)
    (edit - clarity)

But I've only just noticed - this event runs into September. I can do some reworking of grids, take down a few dozen more raids for soul weapons, and try again. In reality I'll have to - my score won't keep me in top 500 beyond this week. Every time I think I'm in a good place to cut back on the grind, the game pushes me back in....

Isn't light supposed to be OP and win checker-kun event by a big margin? I have not seen any strong light performance so far.

If I recall, and I could be very wrong so someone correct me please, light is very OP in terms of versatility. They can perform most roles exceptionally well. But for straight up pure damage like skill checker, thunder or fire is suppose to be the top contender. Again, someone correct me on this.

You are kinda correct on this one, but there are some minor details missing.

Light has a lot of synergy happening in best case scenarios which are coming to show on this very dummy event. Also, until T4 Shingen arrived, a major bonus Light overall had is a insane amount of speed in terms of BG-Generation which no other element had until this point.
The combo of Lugh, Iris, Tish and Michael AW is, although insane glassy, putting up an insane pace and can barrage Bursts and Full Bursts in quick succession.
Light and Dark are also the only 2 elements that get 3 Exceed weapon from UE events while all others only get 2.

Light is a universal element, you may call it neutral, which can perform against any element to a good degree without taking many risks.

In hindsight, this dummy is also the only one were Light has such an exceptional performance. The others to come give other elements an advantage or levels the playfield for multiple at the same time.

Light only had 2 UE axes? I might be wrong.

How did the subsequent dummies give other element advantages?

They are shorter. Therefore, rather than damage-per-turn, it becomes more of a thing "how high can you burst, bro?"

Next up is your best damage in a SINGLE turn, so effectively your Full Burst turn. For whales who slam 2m on ALL Hime, it becomes just a test of how much can you go above the soft-2m limit. Water is pretty good at that, since you slam Sieg-Ea-Oceanus(SR) during Stun.

For us mere mortals, eh, I doubt anything will change much.

Fire, wind, thunder main already have their whale grid, light, in the other hand, not having their whale grid yet. They need to Tish and Vishnu FLB. My Union mate, Geoffchu, a f2p light main, be able to stand in top 5 with only a f2p AXE grid, that’s how OP light are right now, imagine when they have access to spear grid when Tish FLB come and juicy vigor from Vishnu FLB

The DMM light mains did not have Tish FLB and Vishnu FLB neither when they owned the first checker-bun though.. I am not sure about thunder, but fire is still missing key hime.

Thunder only missing Raiko AW. Not having Fire Frey really hurt Fire dps because their debuff hime: Mars is meh, Ama is eh and Vahagn is running out of gas fast. But thankfully ascalon/mars whale grid is just too powerfull atm so whale fire main is still on the game aka Igt
