This was true for the first event. One of the players complained that there were fewer people playing than in the DMM version, so the devs obligingly reduced the rewards. I noticed the rewards were un-nerfed for the 2nd Dummykun battle, but kept quiet because who wants nerfed rewards? As this is a rematch of the 1st, it seems the rewards are still nerfed.
So - score in the top 500, or get below 1 upgrade in medals. I was 504 the first time, not that I'm bitter. I ranked just outside top 200 on the max damage version, but then the competition was less fierce - because they didn't nerf the rewards.
I'm around 450 so far, after 1 run with each team on non-optimised builds and with non-optimised friend's Eidolons. I'm going to have to go back and rerun basically every team to make sure I'm above the cut.

I just squeaked into the top 500 this time (p477 with 193 million), so better than last. I really suck at Skill-check-kun on total damage. Looking forward to Skill-check-kun on 3-turn damage, which should get me back up to the mid 200's like the 1-turn damage version does (and where the rewards will likely not drop off a cliff at p500 so badly)

It kinda feels pointless to list total Hime count, since just everyone on the list just went with the standard Light team and completed all elements with that.
This is the first event which saves the team used. However, note that the Hime ordering is not correct. Michael is not in the second slot in all those teams, okay? It is probably ordered by Hime ID or something. Also, somebody claimed that it might not save the team you got the best score with but rather what you used last, but... unable to confirm.
Oh, and, our Rankings are bugged. They didn't update for like a week or so? So uh, here is the ACTUAL list as far as I know it:
So uh, as you can see, it's a bit of a mess. We don't really know who got the highest damage or how much that damage was.
