Exceed weapons for all elements. How are new players gonna get Exceeds now? I thing they're giving them from the Olympia raids, but have fun farming that shit as a new player.
Water gets a straight up fucking amazing Glaive Grid.
Thunder gets a Gun Grid, which isn't ideal, but it's... okay? At least as long as you fight Water/Phantom, due to the Guns having shitty Crit on them.
Wind gets a passive PF Grid. It might not be a Phantom Grid, but it's still a passive 240% Burst damage Grid. On an element that's stupid fast to begin with.
Veterans get a Light healing Grid, just like that. How are newer players gonna tackle this DoT spam shit?
Dark gets an Axe Grid, which by itself isn't really anything to write home about, but dem 15% Assault + Pride bonus + 18% HP Axes are no fucking joke. I'll take that shit over 30% Assault ANY day. Also, nearly a complete Hammer Grid just from events, with all the Exceed you'll ever need.
Only Fire gets fucked over by Demons, whileas with Angels, you have... you have... okay fine, I'll look it up. Fire gets Glaive, Dark gets Lance, Thunder gets Axes, Water gets Staves... Light and Wind aren't out yet. So yeah, Thunder and Water are thoroughly shafted, Fire and Dark are fine-ish once you get a bundle of them... which uh... apparently isn't very fast since there's been four Union events over the course of eight months. So they happen every TWO months now, and you only get 250 Holy Soul Points? Holy shit, that means that it'll take new players TEN MONTHS to reach Shingen. Wow. Just... wow.

Well of you're looking at it holistically it does seem pretty bad. I was only comparing the weapons...so far the only difference seems to be demon weps have an flb, but angel weps pretty much match the stats of demon weps without flb.
Demon weps have extra burst effects also while angels dont...not sure how much value is placed on those.

I don't think they're nerfing Ults? Well, they're giving a MASSIVE HP nerf to Ult Dark (because fuck that guy), and a minor (rather insignificant) HP nerf to Water and Light Ults. But with no mechanics changes, they won't be very accessible to newer players.
No idea about the Rag nerfs, though.And there totally isn't a better use for whatever currency that shop uses? Because usually, there is. Which pointlessly slows down newer players, when they should be speeding up instead.Angel weapons need their FLB too. The difference is:
1. Demon weapons are dual-skill, which inherently way more powerful than single-skill weapons. Like for Advent weapons, would you rather get 8% more Assault, or 5% more Assault and 15% more HP?
2. There are two good Demon weapons, and one out of the two is an Exceed weapon. While you don't need much Exceeds, you do need one or two (if you own a P2W Eidolon). Angel weapons? There's one Assault weapon, and one total fucking garbage one.None whatsoever, since you always use Soul Weapons anyway.

Boi were do I even start.
Lets get some things straighten up at first.
I will not go into detail about newer players, they have totally different issues to solve first and Exceed weapons aint one of them.
Raid Medal Shop: Easy to get your shit in a couple days (if you aim for the big ones a couple more days) work. Here is a run down of your daily income doing your (probably?) usual daily Raid-Routine (Soloing).
Standard: 2 Medals per run
Expert: 3 Medals per run
Ultimate: 7 Medals per run
Lets sum up: (2 + 3 + 7) x 18 = 216 Medals a day.
Rags and Guardians are a different story, so I go by detail of the rewards.
Ragnarok-Raids (Cata & Guardian)
Hosting: 9
MVP: 3
Participation: 3
Since you gonna do 1 Guardian per day anyways to get your Och (Phantom Guardian) Raid, it is 24 extra, which makes it 240 Medals per day.
Hunting down other peeps Och/Guardians/Rags means, in less then 8 days you got a copy of a phantom weapon of your choice. If not needed, other convinient stuff like Prem. Tickets, Dragon Eyes, Shards, Orichalcum or the quite expensive Pages for T4-Soul Books.

Union Event
I dont even know why this is an issue at all. Either you need the weapon or not is up to anyone themself. Some people still to this day get destroyed with their amazing teams because they got like no Defender weapons in their grids and neglect the fact that you actually need to survive shit to get something. 30% is a lot and can ease out a lot of problems some elements have. Players that are neither new nor long time player should have interest in those 2 weapons. They are a big boost for just one slot each.

Guardians
It is harder to farm Magna then farming Globes. Guardians are and will be a all time flavour of the month and you just need to tag them for a 50/50 roll on a Globe. You are also always guaranteed a Fragment which 10 can be converted into into a Globe (Batch-Type system, cost increases after the first batch is bought).
The first copy of a weapon needs 20 Globes, next 30, then 50 and last 75. This is on a monthly reset like most other shops of the game and will reset back to the first value.
Obviously you get some more Globes if you host them and if you are lucky, you may also drop a weapon, but that's up to RNG. Oh and Regalia can drop aswell, so you can get a slight refund on hosting.

Light & Dark Ultimate Nerf
Light Ultimate gets some major nerfs that make it far easier as it is right now. One big one is, normal OD doesnt dispel anymore, so this already helps out a lot.
Secondly: The 50% Trigger only happens now once for the whole raid. 500k HP one time, Atk, Light Atk and Def buff (NO Dark Resist buff). No more newly joining triggers and refreshing buffs by people joining late.
Dark Ult also gets some massive nerfs. -7m HP down, no more dispel. Overheat is now Burn and can be cleansed, only 3 turn duration. No more def buff. Affliction damage reduced (cap 500).
And if I'm not mistaken also - Rampage gone.
