I know very little about thunder, so I won't comment on it much, other than the fact that usually 3 SSR > just 1 SSR so thunder is looking the most promising atm - light Athena has her uses but is not really a core light hime.

My selection is fairly narrow too, so that impacts which souls I can use and how they perform (Mordred, Cassiopeia, Rosenkreuz plus the standards). Without going down the list, it might be a little broader in Thunder in terms of weapon types - and, of course, they’re nastier from a atk standpoint.
Ok, a few things here:
1. At the very least, you need to farm all standard and expert raids of your chosen element and leech as many ultimates as you can - take advantage of the half AP/BP off while it lasts. I would not waste resources on weapons that have a useless skill (e.g. that wind SR fan from the event that just ended) 'cos if you even just farm a handful of raids everyday, those useless skill weapons will be obsolete in weeks if not days.
2. Don't worry about not having a weapon for the soul - that is easily solved by soul weapons once you start farming ults. Unlock ones that have useful abilities.
3. It's ok to start with not limit broken weapons - it's actually most efficient to lvl a bunch of LB0 evenly, 'cos the higher weapon level and SL require more and more resources, but the power level scales linearly. So fill your grid with LB0 assault disaster weapons and LB them as you get extra copies.
4. Farm as many standard and expert raids for all elements as you can - whatever weapons you don't use is SL fodder and the eidolons dropped can be sold for orbs to buy eidolons that matches your element (St. Nick or Barong for light - the elemental and char atk eidos are better than the special atk ones we're getting from events right now in like 99% of situations; you also want more MLB eidos to boost your stats.)

Getting a proper grid will do far more than tweaking your hime line-up at the moment, especially since you don't seem to have a very wide selection of himes yet.

For the time being, I’m keeping on with Light...just don’t know enough to make a change.
If you're sticking with light, make sure to join a union that can clear all rewards before the next phantom UE (it'll be right after the water advent.) Those weapons are really good and light doesn't get another event until November after that.
