Good work, everyone. I guess.
Well then. This was an interesting one. Honestly? What a mess. Let's see if we can dig into this a bit.
As this was the first UE with Union Medal awards, DMM loosened up on their rewards. What I said in another thread:
- Personal rankings are 3500 Medals for 1-50, 51-100 3000, 2500 101-200, etc.
For us, the 3500 Medals was for top5. Heck, we had 1-5 (3500), 6-10 (3000), 11-15 (2500), 16-30 (2250), 31-50 (2000)... so we had FIVE brackets where DMM had ONE. Well, DMM is far, FAR more populated, so make no mistake - getting into top50 there is a COMPLETELY different story than in here. Nonetheless, they probably overshot that reward squish juuuuust a little bit.
Secondly, as this was the case on DMM, you now need 20m personal PP for full rewards. That's... ... that's no joke. That's up from 3.5m. And 20m is a HORRENDOUS amount for a person in small Union to get... I don't think that was very wise of them.
Anyway, these two things meant one thing: botting got wild. And I mean WILD. Let's face it, botting has always been a problem on Nutaku and chances are also on DMM, but jesus fuck. So I got 28m personal PP, and I'm rank 541. Seeing as we have about ~1000 players in total (very much looking forward to Moroboshi's next post for this event), that's... pretty insane. But of course, most people who botted didn't bot for the 20m, they botted for the top. So, let's have a little look at how the top Unions break down in top20. This is simply:
(the combined score of that Union's players who are in top20) / (Union's total score)
Now, what do these percentages mean? Well it implies the chance of a Union using bots. The more people use bots, the more they show up on the leaderboard, and thus the more likely that a larger portion of Union score is on those bots. We also have to remember that the more people/bots are running, the faster they kill the low level Demons and thus the more and more PP the Union can rack up (as we all know, loading times are the biggest enemy in Union events). This is why TsukiKishi shows up so high on the list - when one person does THAT much out of the Union's total, it's highly suspicious. Almost as if this one person didn't have any loading times or something. How mysterious! I wonder how that could be.
So yeah, while not absolute proof, the higher a Union is on that list, the higher the chances are that they're botting - possibly even coordinating it. Of course, since ranking was live this time around, you get around something like this by just stopping bots before they reach top20. Like, I'd be shocked if 20something had ZERO bots. In any event, this list is merely implying implications, so it is no proof of anyone botting or not botting. Just pointing out who are LIKELY to be botting.
And let's face it Isekai botted like crazy what the fuck guys.
But yeah. Supposedly there has been some lip service on Discord that the rewards will be loosened up and something will be done against the bots, but I think there is no chance of that actually happening. But maybe loosened rewards will make people bot less since there is less pressure to get the rewards. Doubt it though.
Welcome to Kamihime botting, I hope you enjoy your stay.
Just a quick product of your estimation gives around 93.7 potential bots in the game right now. IF the current field of players is around 1000 then we have nearly 10% of the game population that is here using a bot. At that level of infection the developers can't do anything for the game. They can't generate new player interest (due to outrageous botting) and they can't get rid of the botters either as the game population would basically implode if they did (remember those who bot tend to also spend...).
Dejnov.
And aren't you in Isekai??? WTH man...

Good work, everyone.That... is so much not what that's meant to mean. But hey, I guess it goes to show that humans are the ones that interpret the numbers.
What I personally meant was that the higher % a Union gets, the more likely it is that they have a botter. Or several. If they internally encourage cheating, they're going to have several. But for example TsukiKishi extremely likely only had one botter with their 38% score/rating/whatever you want to call it, NOT that 38% of their 29 players are botting.
And on that note, Talking and laughing pushed basically all non-top10 Unions out of the personal rankings. Using the same maths as before, they got 49% and Isekai got 47%. Yup, surely neither Union encourage botting at all. Clean as fresh laundry.
