[Event 140] Och raid event anticipation thread (and other future stuff)

    Hello.

This event 140 isn't coming until ~5 months after this post has been made (in April 2021), but hey? That's not important. What is important is that this update is basically the fourth anniversary update. As I keep finding more and more stuff from this patch all over DMM wiki, I decided to that it'd be about goddamn time to make a thread for this. Please note that the patch notes are not complete. Simply put, we don't have access to the DMM patch notes since the Japs aren't bothering the save them anymore. Which is a problem, since... sigh, Nutaku probably won't give us patch notes at all. But I will try to compile a list of changes here that we can look forward to.

    April 2021:
    - Battlefield perm event added (think AQs), also includes Titan Hunt raids (max 6 people per raid?). Not entirely sure what the reward for doing these is, but it'll probably be worth it and a MASSIVE grind.

    - Weapon skill changes, I made a proper post about it here. The short version is that Elaborate might be a decent stat.

    - Nike Medals added, these are something that you get for spending real life money in the game. The only decent reward is a SSR ticket, which requires 20 Nike Medals.

    - 15 Dragon Eye weapons buffed (second skill upgrades one step above before and after FLB, so Merc Axe becomes Assault(++)/Exceed(+) base and Assault(++)/Exceed(++) at FLB, allowing you to reach burst cap with two FLB Axes).

    - 50 Dragon Eye weapons added:

You can only buy one (1) of these each, and they do not restock. Make sure not to accidentally destroy one of these after buying it. Also, the only way to FLB these is through 3 bricks. Furthermore, they have high skill level requirements (100k total, for reference Guardian weapons are 9k), but that's not going to be a problem to anyone who can afford 50 Dragon Eyes.

There are two per element - one Pride and one Vigor. At FLB, the weapon has Atk(++)/[Pride/Vigor](++)/"increase effect of all [Pride/Vigor] weapons by 50%"
Now, that last part is very... interesting. I am not entirely sure what exactly it does. I think it's simply the same effect as Guardian Eidolons have, except for Pride or Vigor only. Having a look what the Japs have said in comments, it seems that the Vigor weapon makes it very easy to reach the 100% Vigor hard cap. So, while exact mechanics are unknown, expect these weapons to be very, very powerful.

    Pride weapons:
    Fire: Bow (note! Apollo/Wrath Bow!)
    Water: Axe (note! Asherah Axe!)
    Wind: Lance (note! Odin Lance!)
    Thunder: Hammer (note! Raiko Hammer!)
    Light: Arcane (note! Shamash Arcane!)
    Dark: Bow

    Vigor weapons:
    Fire: Lance (note! Mars Lance!)
    Water: Hammer (note! Dadga Hammer!)
    Wind: Staff
    Thunder: Gun (note! Mammon/Phul Gun!)
    Light: Glaive (note! Vishnu Glaive!)
Dark: Sword (note! Dark Svarog Sword!)

Now, you might notice quiiiite the convenient synergy here. Chances are that there was a specific Hime weapon that the devs thought about for ALL the weapons. But, I don't know if there are more weapons which work out. Maybe somebody else could bother making a list? Maybe thread dig this convenient little thread where I looked up for like half the weapons here? So anyway, the point is, getting multiple copies of that specific weapon, the Phantom weapon of that type and the 50 Dragon Eye weapon will be an extremely powerful combination.

    - Big changes to raid events and rewards:

    Story changes:
You now need to clear the event fully in solo mode to get access to the raid fights (these fights are very weak, think collab Advent level).

Raids are (in this specific event):
Expert: 7m HP, drops 2 blue + occasional bonus, 1 spawn item.
Ragnarok: 15m HP, costs 3 spawn items, drops 1 red.
Ragnarok+: 72m HP, costs 6 spawn items, drops 2 red+1 blue, host 3 red+3 blue bonus, also has purple chests for extra loot).
    (just ignore Ragnarok difficulty really)

    Reward changes:
Blue 50, red 55, all SSRs (as before)
Blue 200, red 90, 2 Dragon Eye Fragments (as before)
    Blue 300, red 300, 2 "SSR Ticket (1/10th)"
Premium tickets have been REDUCED from 22 -> 10. Jewels stay at 3000.

    Raid gacha changes:
N weapons and Eidolons have been removed (including +1 ones?!?).

Also, there is a one time Mission to complete Ragnarok+ solo. You get 15 raid tickets. Worth!

    - Big changes to advent events and rewards (one week later when the first Advent comes around that is):

    Fights:
    Beginner difficulty removed.
Standard: 8k*3 add HP, 120k boss.
Expert: 60k*3 add HP, 630k boss.
Ultimate: 100k*2*2 add HP, 1600k boss.
Ragnarok: 200k*2*2 add HP, 3200k boss (can be challenged as many times as you want).
Ragnarok+: 2500k add, 2200k add, 3000k add, 15000k boss. Can be challenged twice a day.

    Drops:
    Standard: ~5 copper, ~2.5 silver, ~1 gold
    Expert: ~6 copper, ~3 silver, ~1.5 gold
    Ultimate: ~15 copper, ~3 silver, ~3 gold
    Ragnarok: ~21 copper, ~5 silver, ~3.5 gold
    Ragnarok+: 23 copper, 10 silver, ~3.5 gold
(honestly? Only do Rag+ for the bragging rights)

    Rewards:
Raid Hime ticket removed, "SSR Ticket (1/10th)" added (can be bought twice).
Demonic Cores are now bought with materials (can be bought nine times) and don't drop.

    May 2021:
    - Heroic difficulties have been added. These are solo (even for raid events!) and are extremely resistant to off-element attempts (though not impossible). Debuff resistant. Elixir cannot be used. Has no drops, but beating them gives you a badge of honor. While it has no ingame benefit (as far as I can tell), collecting a bunch of these is basically saying "Hey man, I got through this shit!"

For the first raid, the HP of the bosses are 90m+120m (210m HP total in two waves). Expect to be fighting for quite the while!
For the first advent, the HP of the bosses are 20m+20m, 30m+30m+30m, 100m (230m total in three waves). Expect to be fighting for quite the while!

    - Advents get further redone by reducing materials to just one type. Nice! Unless they fucked that up, in which case oh god that's horrible!!!

    June 2021:
    - T4 Soul buffs, which I wrote earlier here. All hail our new lord and savior Parashurama.

    July 2021:
    - T3 Soul weapon cost reduced from 30 each to 20 each.
    - T2 Cores can now be exchanged 200 times a month (up from 120), for 3x T1 Cores (no longer costs Regalia Fragments).
    - Magnas can now be exchanged without limit (up from... 15/month?), for 10x Magna Fragments (no longer costs Regalia Fragments).
    - Regalia can now be exchanged without limit (up from 30/month), for 5x Regalia Fragments (there no longer seems to be any other use for Fragments!!)
    - Treasures can now be exchanged without limit (up from... 30/month?), for 10x Treasure Fragments.
    - Union events redone:

    - Kill counts for rewards abolished, only personal PP and Union PP
    - Because there is only PP instead of killcount, rankings are now one push day (which is obviously Ults)
    - Union ranking rewards 3500 Medals for 1-10, 3000 for 11-30, 2500 for 31-50, etc.
    - Personal rankings are 3500 Medals for 1-50, 51-100 3000, 2500 101-200, etc.
    - 3000 Union Medals from rewards
    - You can buy weapon bricks for 10k Union Medals, or FLB Union weapons (Demon or Angel) for 6k

    September 2021:
    - Tower events redone:

    - Unified missions for all floors, they're now "survive with 5", "clear with all elemental advantage characters" and "clear once" (note! take care as F1 to F6 now require four Hime!!).
    - Event is now one day shorter since F15 and F20 no longer need to be cleared twice, thus you still have no room for error.
    - Removed bonus Medals for faster fights
    - Rankings abolished.
    - All these changes combined, max Medals per event has gone down from 20850 -> 11000.
    - Hime can now be deployed three times per Tower event. This is a huge quality of life change, since you can just take one trashy team of Rs for F1-F3 and another for F4-F6 for example. And use your A-team for F18, F19 and F20 for example.
    - top floors supposedly now easier.

I'm really glad that the turn timer is gone, and for the Hime change but... oh man halving the rewards really sucks.

    About upcoming Hime:
Please note that there is not one single original design coming up for the next year. Every single Hime - which will continue to release every two weeks - will be just new clothes for old Hime (or a collab character based on somebody else's design). It looks like the very last original Hime in Kamihime was Anshar about two months ago (September 2020 on Nutaku).

    Awakenings will keep happening:
    Nephtys December 2020
    Frey February 2021
    Aphrodite April 2021
    Mars June 2021
    Arianrhod July 2021
    Pluto November 2021

As a quick look, Nephtys and Frey will get decently buffed it seems, from "don't use" to "maybe use." Pluto seems to be a getting a complete waste of 3 Dragon Eyes though, seriously an Odin level Awakening if the DMM wiki is correct. Ugh. The rest get stronger, but doesn't seem like anything that would make you use them if you already aren't.

I want to say add water guardian axe to list, but I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get the blue weapon orbs required for FLB.

  3. #3
    Stuff I'll add:

    >> The Anni raid event itself
Strictly speaking it's not really an Och raid...

At least, that's not our Och. And she's not even the main boss. You will be facing DiaborosU .... Alter, from a lost, alternate timeline.

Anyway you guys prolly won't care much about the story since lulztacotranslationslulz but it's actually a pretty good one ..... Oh w/e that's not the point. This event's story kick starts the next raid event that leads to the release of the newest 'Uber' summons, the Cats. Other maybe important stuff: ST event raid will be scrapped and Rag+ event raid will be added. Rag+ has 72m HP as standard, while Rag HP is reduced back to 10~13m ish.

    >> New 'Uber' Catastrophe summons
They are the combination of Catastrophe's character and Guardians power. Both stat wise and lore wise. Currently the most powerful summons you can ever hope to have as they not only give you 50% boost to the corresponding weapon skills on your grid, you also get +20%/LB assault, up to 100% at MLB.

    >> Heroics
Most of the stuff are covered but just to add the most important thing:
ALL Heroics enemies are immune to BP as well as the effects of any Action-Inhibiting debuff such as and not limited to charm and paralysis. You can still stick them but the enemies will just ignore it. The only exception thus far are the mobs from Heroic Monkey King Advent. Those mobs can be controlled. Also, the off element penalty is extremely high. The only time where off element clear was possible was for the very first one vs FCat because A) there was no time limit and B) there wasn't any mechanic to overwhelm endurance teams. Theoretically, off element clearing the 2nd Heroic which was the Monkey King *could* be possible, but I had not seen anyone pulling it off. One last exception was Heroic PewtonPython, where Thunder team was allowed to be used without penalty. Otherwise, forget about off element clears. It's mechanically impossible. ...You might also wanna unlock Paracelsus for some of the Heroics.

    >> Titans (Hyperion & Atlas)
Hyperion is the basic version with 30 man limit, while Atlas is the hard version with 6 man limit.
275m and 400m HP respectively, and on initial release both are completely immune to BP and all forms of Atk/Def/Element debuffs, and when less than 50% health they also become immune to effects of all Action-Inhibiting debuff.
They have different basic attack pattern depending on phase as well as frequent HP based triggers that casually hits for 10k/random hit or 50k+ AoE dmg and that's without their attack buffs. For Atlas especially, please do everyone and yourself a favor and bring Roma.
Hyperion will be nerfed a few months later and become vulnerable to Atk/Def downs, but still immune to Element debuffs. Atlas does not get nerfed and remained the same (completely immune). Mats they dropped will be used to unlock + upgrade Lucent Weapons and the Zoids Machine Beasts. I won't comment on these features cuz they give me a headache.

    >> Guardian+
    Guardians with lackeys. Yay.
600m total HP. Off Element penalty. You *must* use advantage teams. Immune to Atk/Def debuff as well as effects of all Action-Inhibiting debuff. Vulnerable to Element debuffs. Monkey's shit excuse to bait people to whale for the new limited units that feature User-Only Element debuff that stacks with the normal Element debuff to hit cap. Drop Mats used for FLBing summons and G Weapons.
Did I mention the shitty drop rate for the work involved and the stupid amount of drops you need?
    Happy farming.

    >> Death of Tower
How to Kill Your Own Game 101. Yay.

And Hello. Yes, I'm bored. Don't mind me too much...

Yeah, I didn't mention these as they are the third generation P2W Eidolon. It's not like anyone will be pulling any of them. Outside of whales, one or two will pop-up around the server every few months. So we'll have a decent amount of them around maybe near the end of 2022.

Poor Suzaku gets fucked then. Nice.

I assume Orb Eat is the only way to control the Heroic pace? Or are they immune to that too.

    Care to elaborate?

She's trash right now, but after June buffs... if I had to guess, her ability to give your team guaranteed combo is just too good? Basically combo-attack your way through easier phases, blast through harder ones with Bursts?

I found out about Phaleg+ soon after posting the thread...

It looks like Guardian Weapons don't gain additional effects from FLBing, but many of them are already triple skill, so the additional 10 skill levels will be serious shit. If you can farm the mats, that is.

FLBing Eidolons seems to be solely for gacha Eidolons, so that isn't really going to concern the vast majority of the playerbase. Really powerful though, since the stats seem to explode through the roof and having passive effects for just equipping them.

The game seems to really be focusing on whales though. 50 Dragon Eye weapons? Whales. FLBing gacha Eidolons? Whales. Extreme amounts of Limited Hime (with supposedly content designed specifically for their skill-set)? Whales. Nerfing Tower rewards? Hurts everyone, but least the whales.

Anyway, Bear, could you elaborate a little bit about the 50 Dragon Eye weapons? Is it "as it sounds", like 50% Guardian effect applied to just Pride/Vigor? Does this add or multiply with Guardian effect? Does the Pride version also affect the base Assault, or only the HP lost effect? Does anyone even use the Pride versions? Is the 300% Assault cap real or myth? Why do I have so many questions?

4th Anniversary countdown login bonus has begun.

Right, I had forgotten that instead of April, our Anniversary is in February!! This means that we're going to get either some - or all! - of the April stuff listed in the opening post. Based on previous years, my guess is that we'll get everything except the Raid and Advent event changes, as those will come with their respective events in April.

Just for the record, we got no patch for 4th anniversary. So we're getting it all at the same time DMM did.

Anyway, I came across another tidbit which would been nice to know earlier:
    December 2021:
    - Second copy of each Kaiser added to Eidolon Orb store, 25k each
    - One copy of each first generation P2W Eidolon added to Eidolon Orb store, 25k each
Only 300k Eidolon Orbs required. Nice. That'll keep you busy for a while, eh.

    EDIT: Found more stuff.
    September 2021:
    - Weapon skill orbs?
    - +1 orbs?
Details are hazy since Japs are getting tired of updating the DMM wiki... I believe late September is when we get these. FINALLY.
WARNING: I believe that this patch will also remove skill level bonuses. If you have like 40+ slvl 6 SSR weapon fodder like I do, please try to use them before this. Skill level 2+ weapons will give the same amount of skill points as skill level 1, although base skill points are being increased.

    R Weapon: 10 -> 15
    Magical Holy Grail (R Holy Grail):20 -> 50
    SR Weapon:35 -> 80
False Holy Grail (SR Holy Grail):50 -> 150
    SSR Weapon:350 -> 550
So a slvl6 SSR weapon will go down from 850 skill points to 550, and slvl4 SR weapons will go down from 140 to 80.

    October 2021:
    - Warehouses implemented
We're not getting more inventory space this anniversary it seems. Instead, muuuuch later, they'll give us warehouses. Probably a really shitty system and difficult to use system. Anyway, warehouses are 500 space, they give you 1 each for free and you can buy another. Not that you'll need them probably thanks to skill level orbs being a thing, but.

Don't the first generation P2W Eidolons also get upgraded at some time to actually make them useful in your sub slot? I remember something about them giving an additional bonus when not in main.

Yes, you can FLB Eidolons as soon as that element's Guardian+ comes online. I think it requires a whopping 200 drops from that boss, and the droprate... well, we have no idea. Could be 1 per fight. Anyway, once FLB there is an extra effect when equipped to sub-slot.

All gacha Eidolons get this FLB treatment, by the way. I've added it all to the encyclopedia in Sanahtlig's toolbox, which is still very much a work in progress, but it's slowly catching up to speed.

    You sir are correct.

So it isn't that skill levels are entirely gone, it is that you don't actually gain anything from doing them. I stand corrected.

The main point stands though, slvl6 SSR weapons go from 850 -> 650, slvl4 SR weapons from 140 -> 110. These are our main sources of skill exp right now, and should be spent before this patch hits.
... if this patch even changes the way the ways the skill levels work, it could be long after skill orbs...
