Thanks for the tips about maxing Meribel... if she's not so tough in defense compared to Bernice, I don't see the point of maxing her... for DPS there are better options

Only reason compared to Bernice is if ranged deployment slots are at a premium, it's nice if your blocker can kill stuff solo. Not sure if Bernice is capable of tanking golems with skill up, need some numbers on them, I believe Maribel can with max skill and high AW level (though with 4 blocks, doing so with either is risky, given the golems' apparently massive attack stat it seems you wouldn't want other enemies smacking your blocker as well while healers are trying to heal up from that massive hit).

Meanwhile, Lines of Armor 2 is a long map. By the end I had 418 UP, most I've ever seen myself get, and it would have been more if I'd kept Katie on the field...
