Sadly Waltz barely benefits from awakening. The 50% dodge isn't exactly useful as you aren't going to be in many situations where Waltz is taking archer fire instead of literally anyone else. She also barely gains any stats for that massive XP investment. Her awakening is purely for her eventual Skill Awakening, Endless Waltz. Instead of 100% boost during duration, the moment it is ready to use it automatically triggers and then stays active until the map ends or she gets withdrawn/taken out. It only does 30% boost instead of 100% but it has the improved range it normally does while active.
I opted just now to use my dancer orbs on Solano's awakening instead and put off awakening Waltz until I'm ready for Skill Awakening.
