    Question about Star Rush Events

So If I meet the minimum requirements on the events to get the unit. Can I just level it up to get the full benefit of that unit or do I want to ace the event in order to get all of the unit cost reduction and skill levels? I'm still kinda new to this and I don't understand the technicalities of these events yet.

If it is a unit you would use then yes.

By leveling it normally, you can only raise unit's stats. If you'd want to reduce the cost or improve its skill later, you'll have to buy another copies of this unit in its revival event waaaaay down the line to feed to it, or use appropriate fairies.

As ZeroZet said, only way to get cost reduction and skill up for event units aside from their own event are special events held later. So while you CAN get those things up later it is by far more effective to do so during the event. Cost reduction and skill up can really make a character a lot better since you can deploy it earlier and gain more power in total from it.

So if it is a unit you would like to use, then i really recommend trying your best to max her out as much as you can.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't played actively enough to really get far. Since this event started I've gained about 40 or more levels just trying to get farming missions done thanks to a handy guide.
But I'm struggling to do Castle Retake so I can open another farming map.

I've CCed one archer, have a gold healer at 50 and most of the units I use are at level 30 now (and several at 50% affection). I've only finished the first two event missions, and I really don't think I'll be able to do anymore after the next two missions.
I really want to use Horus, the other one is nice to have but Horus is who I want.

So the only way to lower Unit cost and Skill up is from a future event?

There should be revival events that allow you to buy spare copies of her for special revival crystals. Also there are fariest that allow you to raise skill and decrease cost but the latter are very rare

Well I guess so long as it's possible. I'm spending my time doing Commission Sortie on Tower Overwatch constantly once I unlocked it a few days ago, and running Low Cost Battle and Gigantic Enemy for faeries.
The exp from Tower Overwatch slowed down 2 days ago, so I attempted to try to do Castle Retake to get more stages.
I am at a point where if Cypria can kill the first black armour, I can make it all the way to the end and without bad luck I just have the lich left. But it has so much health, and I only have 1 life to let an enemy escape at that point.
Any suggestions on what else I can do to keep power leveling my units?
