Thread: Vampire's Counterattack event guide

My gosh, I've been doing "Underground Lair" for most of the event and I still haven't gotten a single mage. Like, 4 Plat Armors and 4 Ninjas, but no mage. Which wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't in dire need of mages right now.

Managed to one star the golem map and get a few silver Valkyries and one rogue. Not much else as I've been spending my stam to farm gold and d crystals. It's maps like the golem one, that make you realize just how under-powered you are in certain areas.

Suffice to say, I need to invest more in tanks..... -_-

Same here, I needed HA, but I also need to do Princesses

A Bandit or a Princess I heard is a good sub for HA

You know, amusingly, I actually Awakened Vincent just before the event. I was quite pleased when it suddenly occurred to me, "This is an undead-themed event..." He's been fairly useful too, I think.

I rushed Awakening Vincent specifically to give him an opportunity to stake the Vampire Lord by his own hand, actually)

HAs and Bandits / Princesses have a bit different roles, actually. Heavies are there more for when you need to hold a mob in place for your AoE to mow down, while Bandits and Princesses are to duel some nasties alone.
HAs can be used to to tank hard-hitting physical bosses thanks to their heavy armors , while Bandits can tank them with their prodigious health pool (but would require better healing support) but magic bosses would melt HAs faster, as they ignore armor anyway. Ideally you want at least one of each

And Golems require dedicated Supertanks (or superior firepower and a lot of tokens). While kiddie golems we faced until now could be tanked with a variety of units, real deals in Magic City will be a lot more unforgiving. IIRC top dog there would need more than 5,2k ehp (health + defense here) to survive.

I did like that this event seemed to involve him personally. I like the stories of many of the events (Elva's being my favorite), but this one I enjoyed more than most. Although, "Girl being minion of an evil lord who disrespects and discards her once she's inevitably failed" is becoming a theme, I feel...
