well the plats are revival plats that will apear again. Also without some serious CR and skill ups , they arent that strong

There is, but that's an anniversary event we still haven't seen in the slightest.

Do Platinum units lose CR and Skill level if you combine them before CC?

CR never gets changed

skill level, depends, check the wiki on that particular unit, if it's skill changes when it evolves then it will lose levels, if the skill is the same then it wont.
