Last map is always the God-tier map. It is supposed to be hardest one.
If you can't solve easier maps before it, what business do you have in G-tier?

Vampire Banquet is starting to piss me off.

I suppose, but that still doesn't explain this new thing they're doing. Besides, the last map isn't meant to be 3-starred anyway it's meant only as a way to get spirits and rainbow spirits which isn't all that needed since we have other more accessible and easier maps for.

It's not new. This isn't the first time the G map has been locked until all other maps are 3*'d.

No, I don't remember which other events did this. Might've been as far back as Ada, but it's definitely not the first time.

It's not? God damn it, why didn't anyone tell me about that in Paula's event? Oh well, at least I got a Sacred Crystal out of it.

Oh dear, I think I should explain myself a little more before misinformation spreads.

For star trials (like Paula's) every star counts so doing the last map is a good move. Of course this also depends on the amount of stars needed to perfect the unit. For farm and collection events (not including time crystal maps) the last map generally gives only spirits with a completion reward of a rainbow spirit. So inherently that means there is no reason to do them other than getting the SC.

Again there is some discrepancy. For Nagi, the last map gave the best amount and drop rate of talismans and for star/collection revivals the last map gives the best amount and drop rate of time crystals so you would really want to do them. For certain farm revivals (Shiho's) it works similarly as it gives the best drop rate for her unit.

Ultimately it depends on the situation. Sometimes it's not needed to do them and to counter ZeroZet in that you shouldn't do them if you can't complete the maps, for some events the stars don't matter whatsoever. I have not gotten 3 stars on all the stages in Nagi's event, but I was still able to do the last map in order to get the talismans.

It was mostly an attempt at a joke. All maps are there to be 3 starred for the SC, even if it doesn't help with the event unit. The drop and/or completion drop is (usually) a bonus. At least to me.
