Thread: The Dark Priest and the Pagan Altar event guide

When I saw Verdinate on the news screen, I thought, "Wow, she looks pretty nice... I must acquire as many stars as I can!" The last time I was this interested in acquiring an event unit for such reasons was... Rita? Guess I have a thing for black-haired girls with darkness-based powers... no surprise there!

That aside, I'm really interested in trying her out on the battlefield as well. Her abilities seem interesting, and I'll see if I can find a place on my team for her. That being said, this event looks like it'll be no joke... my first 1-star was Black Ceremony, and I'm not looking forward to trying to 3-star the even more difficult maps...

I 3*'d Demonic Beasts on my first try blind, but Last Battle fucked me hard. I was close on my second try, then waited a day for my charisma to recover, only for me to fail ~8 more times before I got it. So much can go wrong in that opening, and then one of the flies constantly leaks through. I suppose it's my fault for relying on Berna to dodge scythe blasts and using Nanaly to challenge Verdinate.

Once I finally put Charlotte in the right place at the right time, it seemed to go well.

I wouldn't expect too much from her prior to SAW, tbh. Until then she's kinda weird in that her dps isn't very impressive and her range waffles between Despara tier and 20 seconds of "lol, I'm a pirate!". Her best use is probably to be deployed as part of a shooting gallery setup where you only have minimal blockers and make heavy use of characters burly enough to win shoot outs with enemy ranged units like Fran and Elizabeth. That way she spends most of her time as dps before eventually using her skill to reach back and provide tank support.

can't figured if I hate scorpions, flies, or ninjas - prolly ninjas since I can't even 1 star the last map

I did only 1 star Forest of the Demonic beasts. My few blacks or shrine plats are useless on that map due to the low cost. 3 Starred all other maps. Not worth spending all that charisma and stamina trying out for that last SC and Rainbow spirit. Nice to have a challenge. But not when it requiers the use of bunch of min cost silvers and bronzes or the likes. Im playing since over a year and still have not a single min cost silver. CCing and AWing just eats them all.

Next step, 3 star the other X map, The Enemy Sharpens Fangs

then figure out which G map out of the 3 is easier to 2 star

Aim for 26 or 27 stars if possible

I got all but the last 2 maps 3 starred on my first run. Sounds of Darkness was particularly lulzy because I pretty much just spawn camped everything with Syb, Sophie and Flamel. Demonic Beasts was annoying but then I remembered I have Sophie and things ceased to be a problem.

Whew, this event really pushed my timing and what could be done from the video guides! Sitting at 29 stars, Last Battle took me a bit with the timing and precision of Sandra's skill (practically had to keep a close eye on normal speed to hit them correctly) so Spica sniped them off when needed or simply waiting for Sandra's next activation. Forest of Demonic Beasts, I'm really tight on UP and mincosts, followed KeyKii with my own units and I do hold on quite well, that is until the second to last swarm of Orthus appears and they kill off the Ertel I barely just put xD (not likely I'll take that one anymore) And finally, Captured Ninja I could've 3-star it earlier if not for dropping Cloris and then miss the timing to drop Nagi and her skill, so the ninjas simply took out so easily, funny because all I had to do then was simply activate healers, drop Nagi, and then her skill and bingo.

Aside that, collected a few Rogues and Valkyries that I needed, I guess I'll leave the event as it was, and even though it was challenging, it has been some time since I had such a rough time with missions. That was fun!

just need to 2 star 9th map then I'll get 27 stars and be done
