pretty sure the last mage city map we got drops 3 mage units (2 of which are bronze). If you want to level a mage , it seems to be a really cost effective map

Level 30 bronze unit of the same class gives 245 XP. Level 20 bronze unit of different class gives 165 XP. Less than 50% higher XP for a bit over 50% more charisma. Depending on drop rates, it might be similar.
If we go for Return the Field, the level 24 bronze mages give 215 XP, which is a slightly better unit XP per charisma than the level 30 bronze mages. Again though, it depends on the drop rates.
Currently playing: Aigis, Harem Heroes and Crush Crush
Sometimes i wonder if we talk about different cost efficencies, like the cost of energy it takes for you to push the button to do the map, in that case then definitely the 62cha map is a lot better. Please do at least SOME research that doesn't just include "the level of this unit is higher than these ones, therefore it is better!"
I'll put down the numbers, very nicely, without adding drop rates:
62 charisma gives you... 1340 exp if all units drop.
52 charisma gives you... 1190 exp if all units drop.
Now, this gives a exp efficiency of 21,6 vs 22,8 respectively in exp per charisma. This assumes both drop rates are the same, and since petite came out with the 52 map on top i assume it has better drops. Feel free to prove me wrong by running the maps a few times to tell me the difference (i'd like at least 50-100 runs for a "decent" comparison).
I'd say that gold is not really a concern if you have managed to get to the point where you can autorun those maps though. Just do the gold daily every week and you'll never have gold problems unless you spend loads on the 2k gold summon. And if you're that irresponsible that you cannot have a decent amount of gold (AW/SAW is not an excuse, don't do it if you will be left at barely anything left) then you only really have yourself to blame. Not pointing fingers if it seemed like that, just my general opinion.
Pretty sure the statement isn't that the 2k gold summons shouldn't be used, just that one shouldn't beggar themselves doing them, and that if you do, you have only yourself to blame.
As an aside, presently I am pretty low on gold due to skill awakening. That said, I still have enough to level units if needed, and I don't actually have any urgent need to level any units, so I'm not actually inconvenienced by my present low gold levels, which will likely be alleviated with the Monday daily. A similar thing happened when Awakening came out, and I was temporarily reduced from a few million gold to a few tens of thousands while I got my key units awakened. Once the initial burst of units in need of awakening was done, I recovered and proceeded to build up gold again with only the occasional reduction from either an new class gaining awakening, or getting a new unit to awaken.
All said, I agree that as a general rule, gold isn't much of a concern when it comes to leveling at the point you are running commissions on the dessert+ maps for your exp fodder.
You know, not caring about efficiency that much yet replying to a thread about the most efficient maps seems kind of silly :P
If people want to argue efficiency I tend to expect them to at least put out some better statement than "I am one with the force."
to be fair i said it's a pretty cost effective map for leveling a mage unit (which it is). The difference in effectiveness is rather small , and there is also the fact that using higher lvl fodder costs less (since fewer combines)
That being said , i entirely forgot about the 52 sta map. I was thinking about base scramble 2 when i responded , which is obviously not the best map for all classes
