Ok Finally about to Awaken Spica and then Katie. I want to make sure of one thing though. I just need to awaken the fodder units to 30CC1 correct? Leveling them after CC provides no benefits correct?

Anything more than 30cc1 is waste of money. Either CCed silver, or gold units are eligible as awakening fodder (but try to keep gold units for future stuff)

Thanks. I was pretty sure that was the case but wanted to make sure.

I was looking at SAW of Marr on japanese wikia - after first use it changes to her normal skill?

Indeed it seems so.
Considering Sybilla's AW makes her skill use attacks ranged, is there any real reason to AW her skill? Attack multiplier goes up slightly but you lose the instant kill chance (not really the point though it's nice when it proc's). not sure what her range is without Skill AW, but at the very least it seems there are skills that are clearly better than non-AW (like Marr, Gellius, Olivie, Aisha and Berna, Farne, etc. among others)
you mean besides the fact that she hits like a truck at range with magic attacks that aren't reduced in power (like a magic fencer's ranged attack is) ?
just noticed how her sword is named. Fragarach or The answerer appeared in both Baldur's gate 2(tob) and in temple of elemental evil. In both it was a +4 enchanted long sword (i think it was a bastard sword in ToEV if my memory serves me right)
that makes her more awsome from the start

Just by Awakening, Sybilla gains range 200 x1.5 powered magic slash on skill (that can instakill). Skill Awakening trades the instakill portion (and 5 seconds more in skill cooldown) for 280 range and x1.7 multiplier.
Dunno, I think she's good as she is, with less need to prioritize SAW. Better spend the resources on clear upgrades first.
