What's so great about Nanaly? I managed to get her (my only black card) through the rare summon (by not obeying the guide and pressing it when I only had 5 crystals... but I already wasted so many silver units before I found this site that I've only managed to class evolve one, everything else is still unevolved and not likely to be any time soon). I find myself wishing I had found a rare mage or something instead, she doesn't do so well against things in armour and the "retake the castle" story mission is absolutely crushing me when the huge horde comes running out.

That said, these event missions are also kind of crushing me, and I've got my main force all up to around level 30 at this point. Rough. I got 2 stars on the first, 1 on the second, and the third makes me wince a lot.

Nanaly is considered the most broken unit in the game. At least, for sure in our version. There might be a unit or two in JP that comes really close or even passes her brokenness. If she isn't taking out armors for you, then it is simply because for one - archers are not anti-armors, and two - she needs to be 50CC50+ to truly be a powerhouse. When CC, she fires 4 arrows at once with her skill active, and when we get skill? awakening - that goes up to 5 arrows.

Archers are already very powerful units. But she is just in a league of her own. I've had her for a while on my second account, and she seriously melts everything including boss-type enemies.
Considered next best would be Spica, which you can get from the trading post. But her awesomeness doesn't start until awakening and skill awakening for her are available.

I will say that immediately after posting this, I put Nanaly in the left-most portion of the map of mission three and spammed her ability every time it activated and enemies were near (especially the big brute ones that kept wrecking me). It got me to a star this time, which is nice (was able to move on).

When you say CC, you mean Class Evolved, right? I am a fairy and a silver archer shy of that still (seems like those fairies are tough to get, too).

Yeah, CC is class evolve. And should never be done before level 50 on units you plan to keep and use.

Hmm. I didn't see that in the guide when I was going through it, I guess I should go back and check it again. I've only done it to one unit (the tactics instructor). Good to know that I should keep leveling them up though before evolving them, I had just been getting my entire force up to 30 (which I pretty much have at this point).

    Thank you!

If you CC at level 30, you permanently miss out on the stats gained from 31 to 50. For Katie.. I guess it isn't THAT big of a deal since her main use is unit point generation, but it still means she will never be as strong as possible.

Yeah. It's kind of sad that if you play as a newbie and don't go look for all the guides, you can shoot yourself in the foot pretty well; that's not in the game documentation at all that I could see in the Class Evolution thing (it just said that you could do it at level 30). Oh well. Least it wasn't one of my more important units.
