Yeah. It's kind of sad that if you play as a newbie and don't go look for all the guides, you can shoot yourself in the foot pretty well; that's not in the game documentation at all that I could see in the Class Evolution thing (it just said that you could do it at level 30). Oh well. Least it wasn't one of my more important units.

After writhing, struggling, failing countless times and wasting many crystals on Karma's event it was quite nice to be able to mostly breeze through this one. It was actually the 4th mission, Grand Invasion, that took me the most replays to 3star. Handling the gargoyle swarm along with the archer and bomber goblins in the beginning took me quite a few tweaks. I'd either miss a gargoyle or lose a witch.

Had to do a replay of Avenger after learning the hard way just how hard Rowanna hits in that last HP bracket, and few on the last map to figure out what placements worked, but overall pretty smooth sailing. Really liked the aesthetics of the Fairy Village maps, a nice visual change from what we've been getting so far. Spica and Bashira were by far the MVP units of my team for this event. Glad that I finally got enough demon crystals to nab Spica in the down week then power leveled her to 50CC40.

And for my summoning loot...4 freaking Somas I'm only upset about that because I grinded the Vampire map in Karma's event so many damn times trying to get Daniels to save for Spica's CC and her droprate for me was utterly horrendous.

Definitely can't complain, but really wanted me a pirate yarrr! I'll probably cave in and sell some more of my soul to Aigis-sama later in the week to try.

Yeah, this event was pretty damn easy compared to the silly vampires. Elizabeth and Cloris seem to be my best units this event, they just rape Rowanna assunder before she manages to get anywhere.

Black Karma was also a boon to have since the damn avengers came from both sides in the last missions.

For those of you saying that this was easy compared to the vampires one... makes me very glad I didn't really try that one! I decided to work more on leveling up first. At this point I'm just trying to get through mission four so I can get both of the units, the dragons keep taking out my troops. I'm kind of considering trying a new strategy of just focusing all my troops on the right and letting most of the flyers go by, just to try to eke out a single star. But going to wait on that and grind Wolf Pack some more to get a few more levels first.

That sounds like a good plan for the event. Although I've been playing Aigis almost three months now, it feels like I was in your shoes just a short time ago. I agree with much of what you were saying earlier. Aigis really is rough on newbies. Even if you do read up beforehand, I feel its one of those games where you aren't going to really "get it" until you just get dirty and do some playing first. And in the process of doing that you're almost setup to make some of the big no-no's.

I rerolled my first account around level 30 since I had fed a good chunk of my silvers to themselves, didn't have any amazing summons, and really just felt I could get a lot more solid start after understanding how things worked. I did that the day before the Return of the Dragon Princess event started. By the tail end of the event I was mid-50s still with a very beginning-level team and was able to squeeze by with a single star on the mission to get Echindna.

You can really get a lot of grinding in and give your team a big boost in a week, so better to spend your resources doing that first instead struggling against the event since its still the beginning. Since you have an idea of the map now, you can focus on the units you have that will help to pass it. Give it a shot again after a week with your stronger team and I guarantee it'll go much smoother Like I mentioned earlier, that was the trickiest map for me to 3star in the event. I always think those are the evilest setups where you have to establish a firm ground and air force right from the get-go.

So, this means it's a really bad moment to be a newbie, right? xD
Well, I guess I'll follow that plan too. Test the maps, check for useful units, level them up for a week or so, then try the maps again.

Man, I really want that blonde princess (lol) :3

Oh, you want Themis eh? :P

Anytime really is a "bad time" for a newbie to join in apart from before they started their first event. You'll always catch up sooner or later, though, so that is not really a problem. Of course, clearing this event fully might not be doable for a newbie, but the units can at least be gotten with enough leveling.
