    My noob opinions:

Garrett is an offense based tank. His trust bonus and skill give attack. On max level, he has lower base defense than Leeanne, whose skill also boosts defense. Because of that I would go with Leeanne for now.

Marr is great from what I've heard, but I would level a conventional healer (or maybe even two) first for the big single target heal and higher range. Iris has high healing output during her skill, while Fedora is more flexible with the increased range. I'd go with Iris first, especially since you just got a second one to CR/SU her later (keep in mind that her skill changes after CC, so you will have to CC the dupe for the SU).

As for Lilia, I would give her some xp (level 25-30 or so), but get the core team up and running before leveling her further.

lilia and marr are great to have. Especially marr imo , but as our unregistered guest here said , it's better to cc iris first. That being said , garret is literally the worst gold possible in my opinion , and even leanne is a better tank then him. DOn't bother leveling him up , and especially don't invest aff in him since it's pointless......unless u somehow have extra (which i kinda doubt) and just want to see his scenes. But even then , u're better of keeping said items for a better unit. As for garet himself , u can keep it as awakening fodder i guess.

TLDR : pretty much what the previous post said.

Alright, thanks again for the advice.

The only thing I have against Garret is his post Awakening competition. On stats alone he's an interesting off-tank but unlike Awakened Bernice he doesn't passively buff his tanking partner's defense. That makes him very expendable to vets who own or plan on shooting for a platinum or black heavy infantry.

But you know what? None of that really matters much in this case. Awakening isn't out yet, Golds don't take any more fodder than Silvers to CC and in the short term the OP just plain needs some tanks up and running. There's not much reason to avoid CCing Garret in this particular situation.

That idea of Garret being an offtank is actually interesting. He can shine in very specific situations. However, for those who already have Bernice + Gellius (or Maribel who actually does both jobs, or Deine) leveling him up might be a waste of resources.

If anything I'll get around to lving him eventually, but he's automatically at the bottom of the priority list when I think about throwing fodder units at a needy unit for lvs.

I hear he, Lauren, and Sanosuke are all getting along down there. :P
