My main complaint with the download games is they need to do a better job of clearly indicating if they are censored or not. Bought Chrono Clock only to find out it was censored, which (IMO) pretty much ruins the whole thing. (and I'd also argue that censored games are pointless, so arguably it shouldn't even be a question. Never even occurred to me any of these games would be. Nothing I've bought from Mangagamer or Jast has been... though I did notice manga gamer now specifies "without mosaics", so I guess some of their games have 'em now.)

So now I'm really gunshy about my purchases. If the "advertising" images don't make it crystal clear the H scenes are uncensored, it's an immediate skip.

(I'm also of the opinion there is too much Yuri content, which doesn't particularly interest me, but at least THAT is typically obvious by the pictures. I did get Sakura Dungeon, since I'm a fan of grid-based dungeon crawlers, but from what I remember it was too grindy. IIRC you had to be higher level than your targets to capture them, so you *needed* to be overleveled. IMO bad design there.)

You may want to re-download Chrono Clock as they supposedly uncensored it a few months back. I bought it during this last sale, but haven't had a chance to pay it.

But ya, I hear you. Sometimes you have to send in a ticket to find out if it's censored or not.

Stop The Earth, I'm Getting Off: Crystal City

A short but somewhat interesting VN. I won't tell too much as the story is fairly short and it may spoil some of the mystery, so I'll just give my thoughts on the more technical aspects.

As mentioned the story is short but intriguing. It feels kind of rushed at the end and I feel it could have been fleshed out better. It's good enough, but will probably leave you with a kind of WTF feeling. About the last quarter though, the translation drops in quality and starts to sound more like engrish. There are even a couple of paragraphs that are not translated (looks like their translator left at some point).

The artwork for the characters is nice and I like the style. The BG art is really simple, but kind of works for the setting. The ero CG's are more like stylized nudes, and even during sex scenes they look more like nude poses than actual sex illustrations. So pretty soft core. Nice amount of CG's, but would have liked to see a bit more.

The game is currently at 8$. I think it's just about right given the length of the game and the somewhat unpolished feel of it. This is suppose to be part one, so we may see a continuation eventually.

    Hell Girls

A match 3 game. Game play is kind of meh (what you would expect from a M3). The CG's are nice, but I don't think I ever learned how to unlock them. The game is 2$ so I can't really put the game down as you get what you pay for.

    Stay! Stay! DPRK

A parody of North Korea. You play as an American solder that decides to go visit his pen pals over there.

The story is probably the best part about this game and has just about every NK jab you could think of thrown at. If you think NK is a joke, then you will have a good time with this VN. The story progresses by selecting a tour destination on the map, were one of your pen pals will join/escort you.

The BG and character art is really nice. Like Crystal City, the ero art is more like simple nude posing with a bit more echi thrown in. If you're a fan of soft core, then you will probably like it. There is not that many CG's which is kind of a shame because the pen pals are really hot.

It's priced at 10$, which I think is pretty fair if not good for a game of this quality.

    NEKO-NIN exHeart

If you like catgirls you may want to check this game out.

The story is what you would expect from this kine of game. The MC meets two ninja catgirls that believe him to be the one they are suppose to protect. Lots of sex and comedy. The story is kind of a big cliche to be honest. Still it's nice and immersive enough for this kind of VN

All the artwork looks professionally done and the voice acting is what you would expect.

The current price is 15$ which is pretty good given the quality of this game. There is also a couple of DLC chapters that cost 2$ each IIRC. Haven't tried them out yet so I can't really comment.
