When you inherit you don't lose the general since you can just undo it. I would stick to using the older generals as inherits until you have someone worthwhile to inherit the newer skills tho, since it costs inheritor ores to do any of the non original generals. And while those arnt super rare, it makes it awkward to switch inherits around. Also takeda shingens 50% increased dmg isnt bad, and its far superior to most inherits until you get to the really good ones like takeda shingen of kai, ssr naoe kagetsuna, or higher dmg buffs. SR naoe is probably the one you will be able to use the longest, since the love skill is very useful until you can kill teams in 1 or 2 turns.
I personally went with a super defensive build with tiger of kai as my only big dmg dealer until I got to around stage 5, when I started getting the stronger dmg generals. With your current team you would probably see the best success with making houzoin and takeda shingen personal guards and giving them regen, at least if you are unable to kill the enemy in only a turn or 2. I know other people did things differently but until I got Tiger, yukitaka, and a few takeda shingen of kai's I just did not have the dmg to clear things without needing the regen.
