In the mobile app version of the game at least SR EVO cards have 5 stars. It might be a bug, though...

Also I'm almost finished stuffing my Sanada Yukitaka to lv55 so I will have some team changes going soon.
It does depend on who you play, but six of the eight players in the quarterfinals have in the front spot of the bottom row either a Takenaka Hanbei with an inherited Uesugi Kenshin or Dragon of Echigo or the other way around, and of the corsair class. Far fewer players put heavy reflect damage in the top row, as there can only be one general in the top row to defend against.

What's pretty common is that both players put heavy damage dealers in the top row, and then whichever of the two attacks first kills the other in one shot. With a Tiger of Kai especially, if you're not attacking first, you're useless. Last week, I lost when Aargaez barely one-shotted the general I had in that spot, even though my general had about 15k defense and an additional 55% damage reduction from other sources. This week, I decided to stick something with about 700 speed in that spot and make sure that I attack first.

Well that worked. I organized my team this week with the goal of beating Aargaez, having a decent shot against Temp and Nootaku, and hoping to avoid a decently strong, reflect-heavy opponent like EarthCrimson or Rimuru. So I was quite pleased to see Nylem upset EarthCrimson, as I mentioned above, as well as Nootaku and Rimuru not even appearing in the round of 32.

In the finals, Aargaez came at me with a Sasaki Kojiro with an inherited Tiger of Kai and, with buffs, over 570 speed and 24k attack, even before the Tiger of Kai damage bonus. In three of his previous four matches, that character had fired the first shot of the battle, killing two enemy generals in the process. Temp was the only one of Aargaez's previous opponents to even get a single attack off, and he got two before dying.

So of course my lineup did exactly what it was built to do: killed that particular general before it even fired a shot. Game, set, match. And it does take some luck to design a team before the entire tournament to beat one particular opponent, then happen to draw that opponent in the finals while avoiding a few other opponents that my lineup would fare poorly against. But that's why there's a new tournament every week: to reroll who got lucky and who didn't.

The silver keep event has a notable item that you might have missed. No, not the inheritor ore. That one is obvious, and you presumably know how much more of that you need.

Rather, the two level 55 opponents drop a "Hatazirushi", which is quite a nice item. If equipped by your team leader, it gives +10% attack and defense to your entire team. Let me make this as unambiguous for you as I can: you want one. The drop rate is pretty low, as I had to win about 140 or so battles to get my first one to drop.

Get a Takeda Shingen of Kai with an inherited Takeda Shingen of Kai equipped with a Hatazirushi and you've got +40% attack and +40% defense to your entire team. That makes a huge difference in just about every battle conceivable. Stacking team-wide buffs is the way to win, and this is a big one.

But you only need one. A party only has one leader, so you can't stack two Hatazirushi bonuses at once. But do get one while the event is going on, even if it means doing less of some other event.

Sounds lovely. Maybe next time for me. Right now now I'm really starting to feel the chokepoint. Getting new SSRs (not to mention those you actually want) is slow as hell.

If you're doing all of the daily quests, plus the occasional obvious, easy gold ticket from other sources, then on average, you get a new SSR general every other day or so from gold tickets alone. For getting the few that you really want up to four stars, you rely more heavily on EVO cards. For example, I've used 19 SSR EVO cards on Takeda Shingen of Kai alone, 4 of them on Sanada Yukitaka, and possibly none on any other general ever.

Yes, SSR EVO cards are hard to come by, but there's an event running right now that drops them, albeit with only about a 0.2% drop rate. Still, that's enough that I've gotten three of them from the current rogue nation event.

As for the Hatazirushi, my point was that if you can get to and beat either of the level 55 opponents in the silver keep event, it's worth doing so until you get one Hatazirushi, as that will still be a valuable item to have months from now.

Don't think of getting generals as being the only way to advance. You should also be steadily getting stronger from leveling up lab skills and forging up gear, among other things.

Since I can't log for 5 hours then I guess I'll just have to chitchat.

That is so kind of you revealing your secret of winning in pve/pvp. That is a big help to newbie players (like me since I started playing this game around august 2-5 of 2017).

I do not have Takeda Shingen of Kai but I do improvise and just use what I currently have. Currently have a level 35 Yamagata SSR, level 55 SR Baba and level 55 SR Yamagata as I also rely on speed because I usually include Tiger of Kai and/or Uesugi Kenshin (the bikini babe version) on my main army. Still hoping to luckily get good generals in the future via summon (only have level 35 Tiger of Kai and level 35 Dragon of Echigo UR generals)

Don't get too caught up in thinking of "good" generals as meaning UR. It's actually better to think of "good" generals as meaning four star, level 55 generals. UR generals are only marginally useful because it takes so long to get them to four stars. You kind of have to pick, this will be the one UR general that I'm going to use, and assume that the rest won't have a spot on your team for several months because you'll reserve any UR EVO or Universal EVO cards you get for that one general.

Zero star UR generals might seem all right when you're fairly new and don't have good gear yet. But they can't use any remotely good gear, as they're capped at level 35, which is absolutely crippling. Eventually, you get good gear and need to be able to equip it.

The four generals that you want right now are:

    UR Tiger of Kai
    UR Master Strategist
    SSR Sanada Yukitaka
    SSR Takeda Shingen of Kai

And you want about as many Takeda Shingen of Kai as you can get, as Koyo Gunkan is a great skill to inherit. I have five separate copies of a four star Takeda Shingen of Kai. That's not insane luck from drawing her; that's having used 19 SSR EVO cards on her, which is a large majority of the SSR EVO cards that I've ever had.

For a fifth general, right now, I'm using Mori Motonari, as that's the best other level 55 general I've got. There are several generals that I'd replace her with if I had a level 55 version:

    UR Taikou Hideyoshi
    UR Sanada Yukimura (S)
    UR Bear of Hizen
    SSR Akechi Mitsuhide (S)
    SSR Naoe Kagetsuna

There are a lot of UR generals not on that list, and I expect SSR Naoe Kagetsuna to be the one I end up with, simply because she's not UR and not an event general that you can't get anymore. I actually do have a one star Taikou Hideyoshi and a zero star Akechi Mitsuhide (S), but they're not worth wasting EVO cards on.

The above is talking about PVE. PVP is different, as very high damage will take off massively more troops than your opponent has, which can easily kill you with reflect damage. Combinations of Takenaka Hanbei with Uesugi Kenshin or Dragon of Echigo are popular in PVP for that reason, and nearly always of the corsair class, even if it's a temple player.

I do have a 0 star Level 35 UR Tiger of Kai and that general is always on my main army. It might be level 35 but its better when I compared with other generals that I have (compared with a Level 40 SSR Uesugi Kenshin and a Level 40 SSR Takeda Nobushige - both have Elite Black Rider troops and have a Original Black Naginata at max level which is also level 40). Tiger of Kai is equipped with a level 40 Legendary Mumei Sword but the damage is still bigger than the two generals aforementioned. Sometimes I just test or experiment so that I would know which general would be a better fit to my army. I am not really lucky when getting random stuffs so its just a "come what may" situation and just use my current equips, generals and other items related to the game itself.

I use either UR Dragon of Echigo (Corsair troop) or SSR Uesugi Kenshin (Elite Black Rider) as my frontliner when I go PVP or just to get the arena related reward.

I just got a Mori Motonari from last month's 25th day daily log in reward. But in comparison to other generals that I have (in which those generals have Elite Marksman troops) like SSR Honnganji Kennyo, SSR Miyamoto Musashi and SSR Takeda Shingen, Mori Motonari still have the best damage amongst the four.

The progression is slow but still I am just enjoying the game and just doing baby steps (upgrades, leveling research, construction, etc... one at a time). For now the android app is still not functioning and makes us android users sitting ducks lol.
