A decent chance at UR evo, but at the same time drop rates of those items are so ridiculous low that getting any evo cards will be heavy grinding for the whole event time.

Original Himetsuru Sword from the end is junk. I haven't gotten a Takenomata Kaneko Sword from the end, but that looks like it might be useful for Uesugi Kenshin and useless otherwise. A comment on the Japanese Wiki makes it sound like the damage bonus might also apply to UR Dragon of Echigo. I'll check if I can get one.

Kaneko Sword (P) from the port, on the other hand, looks to me like top tier endgame quality gear. The Google translate of the Japanese wiki didn't make the description clear, but once you check the item's page, people say explicitly that it means a single target attack turns into two targets, two turns into three, and three turns into four.

Throw in that you increase Uesugi Kenshin's attack by 150% and that also turns Uesugi Kenshin into a top tier general worth comparing to Tiger of Kai, Sanada Yukitaka, and Master Strategist. I'll have to test it when I get one to see if that's really what it's doing. As of yesterday, Uesugi Kenshin was really only useful for reflect damage.

The opponents are also notably easy, so I pull all but Master Strategist off the team so that the battles can end faster rather than having to wait for a bunch of skills to stack.

The Kaneko Sword (P) is the key loot from this event. If you ignore it because you're chasing a UR EVO card, you forever forfeit the right to complain about having missed events. There are lots of sources of UR EVO cards, but not many of top of the line weapons. So you might as well pick up five of them, or at least three or four depending on how many characters who attack 4+ at a time you expect to have on your team.

I don't know if i'm just getting bad luck or what but I don't think getting more than 2 or 3 at most of UR evo cards is going to happen even if u farm it every day for whole event. THe ghosts just do not seem to drop often enough to be able to support 300 of them for one trade. I currently have 52 ghosts 15 pumpkins and 12 witch hats after clearing the whole thing, and that is including the bonuses you get. So I really do not see how you can possibly collect enough for the UR cards to be the main focus. The sword looks way too powerful to pass up even for non Kenshin generals, adding an additional attack to every general would be so incredibly powerful. And as previous posters have said you can get UR cards from other sources, and this seems to be one of the best weapons in the game and not able to be gotten elsewhere.

Hmmm... I'll pick up 3 of this since 2 of them are Elite Archers (Onne is Master Strategst and the other is Cyclops). What about that Demon Hair Band?

Also, I like this event.

To Sir Semaphore: Takenomata Kaneko - Adds Focus Fire x2 and a Heal-block mark to the target, lasts for one round. Increase DMG by 150% when equipped to ??? (Kenshin?). (Sorry, no idea drag to second part.)

I really don't think the hairband is that great. The regen could be sorta useful i suppose but I much prefer the sparrow tail hood for that purpose, especially since the 10% extra regen is random who it targets. So there is a decent chance of getting almost no value other than the flat 5%. Not to mention it cuts into the very limited supply of pumpkin and witch hats needed for swords and ur cards.

The Takenomata Sword works on Dragon of Echigo. I have a level 35 Dragon of Echigo (changed from corsair to ghost ninja). Tried and compared using a level 40 Nodachi Collection (990 atk) to a level 15 Takenomata Kaneko (970 atk) on the Halloween event dungeon (the one that has the platinum ticket drop). When equipped, both have 3k atk and both are near to 3.1k... I just checked and its not on the same order as I was kinda sleepy that time XD

Nodachi Collection (level 40, 990 atk)

Normal attack - 1909 (2nd round)
With ghost ninja proc - 2863 (2nd round)


Takenomata Kaneko (level 15, 970 atk)

Normal attack - 2832 (2nd round)
With ghost ninja proc - 4131 (1st round)



Guess after that I was rewarded with an Ultra Exp Card but I don't know where I got that haha. I was just farming either at the last 2 stages and on the stage that has the Platinum Ticket drop

Got the Kaneko Sword (P) awhile ago and tested to some generals (mostly on the Halloween dungeon stages). It seems that the extra target ability of the said weapon does not work on generals that procs on additional targets (tested on Houzhouin Inshun and its still 2 targets when the cross shaped spear skill had been triggered, so it might be the same to SSR Andou and UR Kuroda). It does not work on generals or troop types that involve column attacks (both triggered and passive). But it works on black riders and marksmen (though have not checked on SSR Mori).

It works great on my kenshin bikini babe. Compared Kuniosa sword to the playful kaneko and the result was too good to be true. On the 2nd to the last stage of the Halloween dungeon, using kuniosa sword gave 10k damage to one target but when using playful kaneko, its 8k on the first target and 7k on the second. And take note its a level 40 kuniosa versus a level 0 playful kaneko.

This playful kaneko sword is one dangerous weapon most especially when its equipped by kenshin. Hope I would be able to see offensive type Uesugi Kenshins or Dragons of Echigo in next week's tournament.

Thanks for the data. That sure looks like "deals 150% damage", not "increases damage by 150%", which would mean dealing 250% damage. I got one myself now and can read the end of the description as "Increases DMG by 150% when equipped by Uesugi", but that's probably a botched translation or a bad tooltip or something.

I'll have to check on whether the Kaneko Sword (P) is also "deals 150% attack" rather than what the tooltip of "Attack is increased by 150% when equipped by Uesugi Kenshin" says. I have one of those now as well, but need to level it up a ways for a cleaner comparison with existing gear.

If both weapons are really a 50% damage boost, not 150%, then that's a lot less interesting, in part because you have to use a not overly strong general to get the boost. Kaneko Sword should still be quite good for the effect of attacking an extra target, assuming that that isn't also restricted to Uesugi Kenshin and possibly Dragon of Echigo.

By the way, the character card that the sixth opponent can drop is a medium soul card, not a general or EVO card. I'm guessing that the cards that some other opponents drop is also a medium soul card.
