You really should stop paying attention to this. You don't lose much and very rarely you will get upset by losing a good item. And it kinds of balance as you can potentially plunder anyone, and so the top players you shouldn't be ablt to otherwise. When actually they would plunder you anyway.

For people not on Discord, just be aware that every skill description from generals, units and items got randomly switched. It's just a visual glitch, so nothing changed from their initial effects. But you can't rely in game description now, so you will have to remember what they were doing or check wikis (like the japanese with google translation).

Waiting for hotfix, could be a good idea to send support request for it for "text" if you want it to get notified fast.
