    Warning on using Nutaku

I want to take the time to warn everyone about nutaku, which has just wiped my gold for not using it. The details of the circumstances are below, TL;DR they are shady, while not an outright scam they are the next best thing to it.

Today logging into account I noticed that my 6k+ gold was wiped.

Inquire to support got me a reply that I didn't spend gold for too long so it was wiped, and the solution they give me? To rebuy the 6k+ gold "with just 70 dollars" which is a direct quote, screenie linked below.

They added a snub on top of saying there's a 10k gold sale for 99.94$, a 0.6$ saving.

Basically the gold wipe is permanent, and they throw in some snub on top.

I don't doubt they have some fine print somewhere that says they can wipe my gold under blah blah blah conditions at this point.

I've known nutaku to be a less then stellar establishment for awhile, unfortunately i bought the gold when they were fairly new to support new english effort on that front before they started to showed their hand.

A screenshot of the reply from nutaku's support.

Really, you had to post this here too?

This guy posted the same thing in like 10 ULMF threads. He's either stupid or just another anti-Nutaku troll.

And the latter wouldn't even be a bad thing if he actually had something worth complaining about.

Wow, that's very cold of you. Have a bit of sympathy, people! If you really believe this way of thinking then: The next time when you bump into your own furniture, you should just ignore your pain and not expect any pity because you did this to yourself. You knew where your furniture and how large your body is.

Anyway, I am so sorry to hear that, Herald. I hate gift cards and in-store credit for same reason. They can always deprecate and expire. Now that I know that Nutaku Gold can expire. I will definitely be more careful from buying premium currency from Nutaku. I would have never realize this problem if you did let us know. I usually buy premium currency for android games and they never expired on me before. It is a bit strange, but whatever. Thank you for warning us about a potential problem.

But... this is the logical way of thinking, isn't it? Because you have a brain, and thus you can think and make your own choices, and be responsible for your decisions. If you spend your money on something, but didn't read the contract and lost your investment because of your ignorance, then the fault is yours, right?

While Nutaku definitely has a bad track record in being open about information, screwing up development/contracting/whatever and overall being greedy cash-grabbing pigs (to the point it can ruin games), this time I have to toss my lot with the minimal sympathy crowd. It's in the FAQs (unlike some other issues people have had), after all. Personally, I buy N Gold regularly, but I know I'm going to spend it within the next 30 days (generally within 2 weeks), and I don't buy in advance (though to be fair, I'm a low-tier/casual whale so I spend on N games quite a bit more than some here).

Wow, thanks for posting this OP. I have purchased gold a number of times, and never realized that there was an expiration date on it, nor that the company wouldn't honor your original purchase when you come back. Seems awful scummy/shady, especially considering this information has to be dug out of the FAQ, and is not presented to you upon purchase.

I never read FAQs, but I remember reading THAT ONE. Anyway, many, many companies have this policy as well. This is why I don't deal with virtual currency, regardless of whether or not there is an expiration or what have you. There's also a clause in your ToS that stipulates Act of God as well as unwarranted intrusion (e.g., if they were hacked) as an exit clause for Nutaku on honoring their side of the bargain.

I asked this question in the LIVE chat and they said the FAQ is INCORRECT!!!!!
