Just finished mission 80...
That was... Disappointing xD. Even the mission 60 was harder !
And now, I just have to wait for updates xD
If you don't know how to play, these are my advices.
1) The frontline. Never let you units be hit by two opponents in the same turn. Make sure you move in block, then take back your damaged units. Any lost unit fills the enemy power gauge. And you can't repair them. So double loss.
2) The defense against many. Same as before, never let your midtanks take double damage, so make sure you filled the gaps. Put them on a city or a bridge, and just wait a little to have a good enough army to retaliate.
3) The artillery problem. Sometime, the enemy will fall in love with the artillery button. In that case, use copters or just rush.
4) If you won't kill the opponent before turn 10, just rush the HQ. 3 stars, even if you didn't take any building or killed anyone. (But always try to kill some before victory)
5) Cage your damaged units. Never let airships take them out. Same for support or long range vehicles.

I would say 60 was disappointing, 59 was at least three times as hard... and the 60 went very bad AI wise for me(the 'allies' you get there who are supposed to distract just killed each other with abilities and then the main enemy farmed it's 5 damage ability from them and launched it on me), it was still easy enough to destroy absolutely everything by turn 14 or so.
Your suggestions are nice in general - but you missed naming the most important tip of all, which makes any map with an airport for you a breeze - make 1 bomber ASAP(or fighter if you need to protect yourself from air), this will make AI spam only anti air units. Then just faceroll the anti air with mid tanks you started while clearing the dangerous stuff with bombers....
I 3 star'd everything aside of 2 missions until mission 60 - 36, 59 and trying to 3 star those before continuing with the special missions..
Also got a few questions to you - how does rushing the HQ help with 3 stars? I usually don't have problems with speed achievement, but my strength(killing units, capturing buildings) and whatever the death count thing is might be a problem on some missions... Is HQ capture granting automatic 100% strength - so you only need to worry about having enough units survive?
How do you 3 star the stage 36.. seems like the most impossible of all stages to 3 star at all for me: in case you forgot it, I will remind approximate setting: you start at top left on a small square map with there being 3 enemies.. greens on the top right, reds on the bottom left, purples are under you. Purples have tonn of artillery - hard to rush them without ending up destroyed enough to lose 3 stars by it alone.. reds and greens also have some air and strong armies but they mostly kill each other for a long time before focusing you...
I can win this easily in 5-6 turns, but considering that enemies destroy just so much of each other - you don't get the strength at all... it might end up as low as 40 sometimes. Also losing even 1 or 2 units there is already enough to start losing stars as well.
No HQ there as well.

Don't go too far out on the first few turns. Instead build up your forces. This is needed on most maps, since you always start outnumbered. Then the ground is supposed to either surround the missiles or create a bottleneck so the enemy ground can't get past. Try to avoid allowing the enemy to bring multiple units to surround any unit in your bottleneck.
For the copters, try to help out the bottleneck, while staying out of range of the fighters.
In the meantime, you have to hope the stupid AI sends lone air units your way to pick off. Once the air or ground is thinned out enough, you can slowly advance or form a better defensive position to lure in more fighters towards your missiles. Like keeping the copter just out of range of the fighters, to make them come closer.
Take your time with this one, because if you lose your copters to lure the fighters toward the Anti-air, it may take forever for the fighters to randomly fly in range. Girls who spawn tanks or can heal might help with the bottleneck. Girls who spawn AA might help with finishing off fighters after you lure them in.
Most of the time, the AI is stupid, so you want to keep your air out of range of the fighters and hope they randomly send one close enough to get shot down by missiles.
I've fucked up a bit and 2'starred a bunch of stuff because ive had to do most of them post nerfs to everyone and 59 is now a stonewall for me with how little they spawn you with.
Well, you lost a bit rewards from getting 2 stars, but I wouldn't say it's too bad... let's say 1 weekly chest more than makes up for all the 2/1 star fails you could possible make - and I wouldn't believe you never 3 star'd.
So at the very worst - you will just need to wait 1 more week and you are back on track.
I find injury more of a reason of my 2 staring than nerfs to heroes.(partly due to nerfs of course, because it further limited good heroes) I mean the commander is still great as it was and it's most important character - karina. Captain is not as good now, but still decent - Nari. You can still spawn the heavy tank with lieutnant.. very good. The biggest nerf is the latest one - sergeant now doesn't drop the tank.. but tbh artillery drop isn't that bad as well! And if artillery isn't your thing you could always take cassandra for that 5% extra def...
I also found the 59 rather hard, it's one of my 2 remaining 2 stars under 60.. 60 won't be as hard to complete, since it will give you more time to build up.
wtf, i just got a bug where a motorbike spawned instead of mid or heavy tank. also i'm wondering if the voice in the H-scenes is a guy with an edited audio.

ok that motorbike bug made me angry. it also cost me 55 crystals.
i already got a motorbike from a motorbike/artillery ability, then i used a mid/heavy tank ability and somehow got a motorbike. i was confused by this, so i looked at my officers, and it showed i used both abilities, and only got 2 units from them. when i failed the mission, it took away 55 crystals from my account for using the motorbike/artillery ability a second time.
this is not a bad, small flash game. i was planning to maybe at most spend 5 bucks on gold to support the game, but i think i'm just going to stop playing because of the spawning bugs. the other night, the spawn ability didn't actually give me any units, and contributed to a failed mission.
Thanks man. I tried this out and it worked, but I'm a bit fearful that Nutaku will take action against people who use these exploits.
Either way, I think I'm done with this game regardless. I just found out that only Epic cards have hentai animations and that leveling certain cards actually make their powers worse. I just leveled Lucy and May to 3 and went from a guaranteed heavy tank and artillery to now a CHANCE to get them. Oh, but whatever you get will be a rank 1! What fucking ever.
