There is a desktop version now, is the ridiculous grind from the events still there, or is there a higher mana or auto complete function now?

they seem to give more time for events, and require less items in general. There is also a new, less grindy style of event where you get the girl to start with, and get to keep her if you as an individual complete a certain number of challenges, while all the players as a whole have a group challenge. If you fail either of those by the end of the event, no girl. It's a much better system.

Have to try out the desktop version myself. Browser one constantly pings my antivirus with cryptominer.gen warnings nowadays.

First impression is good. Browser version usually loads up for minute or two and taps processors like hell along with memory. Desktop version functions like smooth silk in comparison.

Makes me wish for a desktop version of armor blitz. That one tends to crash if played long enough. Long enough switches between 5 to 30min.
