    Unless you plan to get the 3 mana/turn ring quite soon - ring of reaction is not a very good idea, the dagger which exchanges health to mana can be quite important, to have more mana(since shop is very limited with it's mana restoration, that means you will be able to heal HP with food and then restore mana with it)

    But yes, your strategy overall is pretty much the same I do... although the rune used before void doesn't matter, it can be anything, each rune before void will summon different girl, so check out which one you prefer visually(stat wise, they all seem same)
    It takes more mana to do similiar strategy in the magic duel, so might as well just stack def and spam 3 girls around the opponent.. or 6 if his health is enough to last over 2 turns from 3 girls.

    But to be honest - you don't really need summons for any 'battle', because your character is simply overpowered there - enchant with 3x runes makes you basically unhittable until your armor breaks.
    I usually go with 1 piece of armor and 3x enchant on it... only needed 2 pieces of armor maybe a few times in the game... and probably even then I didn't actually need them.. more of a comfortable zone.
    2x dmg + 1x accuracy on starter weapon is usually enough to hit everything for great amount of dmg.
    2 handed weapon from crafting might be worth it considering how durability works(you don't really need shield as your armor piece anyway)

    Also very important tip - you can replay the map as many times as you want, so with maps having 3 rune pick rewards - play it 3 times for 3 runes before traveling to next stage.
