Thread: So about that new game.. Narborion By Night

I'm doubtful whether anyone even wants to talk about it..

I explicitly didn't post a thread about it when I noticed it as upcoming not too long ago because it looked hideous like a sad joke. Like releasing a Hentai version of Bad Rats though that might have even been better. But anyway, it seems to have become playable just now.. I haven't and won't be touching it anytime soon because I fear the horrible art would infiltrate my account or computer and try to take control if not give me nightmares. I seriously can't handle those graphics/art style.

Nevertheless, other than looking like a carnival freak-show I'm still curious as to what it is and how it plays.
So if there are any masochist volunteers or just people who can take it or have different preferences that want to discuss it, feel free.

Is Nutaku seriously planning on advertising that on places like Pornhub?

In my desesperation to find good or acceptable porn, sometimes im willing to go beyond what my standards usually portray, but, if i spent a year in a temple in the Himalayas and when i came back i was told i could only rub it off to that game i would rather have my dick ripped the fuck out. SERIOUSLY WHO THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA IS NUTAKU HAVING A FUCKING SEIZURE? IS THIS A DESPERATE CALL FOR A MERCY KILL? DID NO ONE AT A SINGLE POINT IN TIME THOUGHT TO THEMSELVES..." You know what, nobody gives a shit about our SHITTY AF western games, kamihime did well maybe we should add more of our original games and not be fucking idiots about the gacha system" HONESTLY SHIT... sorry, i just get pissed off when i remember they managed to kill Idol wars in less than a bloody year.

My first impression, I kinda liked the music, the first part of the tutorial seems to be well done, then things get bad. You get the first scene...then you hope you wont get another one for a long time. After picking up stuff in the area, you get prompted to travel to another location...wich will take 30min unless you use an item to feed your horse for instant travel. So 5 min in the game and you are already being told to use a (I think) premium item! Thats where I stopped. No idea what the gameplay will be like since I wasnt far enough to have my first battle.

Edit: The item was in my inventory, so I guess its part of the tutorial like most other game do, however the travel system seems like a bad idea unless you dont have to move often.

Not necessarily a premium item. You can get more hay in shop for 600 coins. Although I'm still having trouble figuring out how to use magic even though I'm supposedly a mage.

I'll just say this, if you don't have the prereg gift, starting out is incredibly slow.

So don't restart ever. :P

I would say it's one of the best western nutaku games yet... although that doesn't say much.

The way it's written is simply 5/5, better storytelling than in any other games you will find on nutaku.

Art is a hit and miss, and I can see some people disliking it.. but it does looks quite westernish and very decent overall. If you consider how well it's actually drawn - it's easily one of the best, simply the style itself is certainly not for everyone.

Gameplay - I would say it's FUN and interesting, unusual.. but very poorly balanced.

PS: those complaining about travel times - there is a ring for power gems which you can save up for(yes, you can farm premium currency here) that makes traveling instant permanently. Also there is hay sold in shop for free currency(!!!!) which skips travel time and is refreshed.

So here is a short list of pros and cons:
+ Premium currency farmable for free.
+ Great storytelling
+ Every location is a scene, or even 2 scenes, all of those are unlockable for free
+ No annoying energy/stamina system - farm as much as you want, the only thing limited is arena.

+/- Art is detailed, but the style is not for everyone

- Poor balance
- Not much content yet(this is still in testing, don't forget, and you can already see more areas which are coming soon) - you can beat all content in the current game within a few days even with travel times. Without travel times(if you spend a bit gold and get the no travel time - much less)
- Traveling can be annoying without premium currency ring unless you plan your route beforehand(you can only travel between certain lines), but good planning shortens the amount of time you will waste by a huge margin.
- Has some game breaking bugs(currently stuck unable to continue the game due to one bug)
